The opera singer singing the Italian anthem in Canberra has been the best so far.

The best in 2008 was the kiwi anthem at the final.

But this is quite different to what you have criticised Futtocka for.

The game is notoriously comical at being able to get anthems right. This isnt a comment on fans moaning

The French anthem was pretty poor this morning, but nothing like at RL standards. We really must do worse.

They repeated the last verse on the French anthem, a small one but it's still there!

If I was to be picky I would say that announcers keep incorrectly introducing "Ireland's Call" as the national anthem of Ireland when it isn't. It may seem like a minor detail but we are talking about the worst song in international sport here.

It’s normally introduced as the “chosen” anthem isn’t it?  Same as when England had Land of Hope & Glory in 2000

Good effort folks on trying to dig up real incompetence, but I have to dismiss them as minor errors and nowhere near up to the level of feckwittery of our previous efforts!
