Any ad that takes a 70s/80s pop classic and restyles it with faux naive style breathy vocals and ukelele.

Indeed, what next song will get butchered? Holiday in Cambodia? Anarchy in the UK? I wouldn't be surprised...

Any advert that insults my inteligence

so essentially

Buy one , get one free

Buy now , pay in 12 months time

Interest free credit

Anything suggesting a sale price more than 10%

anything suggesting Zero Commission

any payday loan advert telling you how easy it is to borrow money at a 1000 % interest rate

the most annoying one right now is the Purple bricks one where the Brides father is abusing his new Son In Law suggesting they will sell your house for free

unfortunatley the world is full of idiots who believe this rubbish

Quite a few of those things are factually true.

Things like interest free credit or pay in 12 months and even many buy one get one free offers are true. They dont claim they are the cheapest way to buy these things but the things they claim arr factually correct.

Dave , nothing is free

Deffering a payment for 12 months is still committing to pay for something , it is fraught with danger , I found this out many years ago

Interest is already added to the cost

They are all adverts looking to legally extort money from the stupid

so does that make them bad ?

Pay in 12m doesnt suggest anywhere you wont have to pay.

Interest isnt added to the cost. Margin is sufficent that monthly payments are acceptable.

Plenty of people, not only the stupid, utilise interest free deals.

I do agree with some of your concerns, but they arent all cons, they are valid purhchase options. Sometimes a washing machine breaks and people need one there and then. Paying in 12m can be a better option than a payday loan to cover it.

The one that has annoyed me most in years is the Flash advert with the singing dog. At a guess, they must have been trying to get the rights to that song for years, and yet when they do they seem to have totally bungled it.

Also the Oak Furniture Land ones are quite bad, but in a laughable sort of way, so I’m never sure how deliberate that is supposed to be.

Any advert demanding £3 a month, particularly fronted by a sorrowful celeb, is enough to get me switching over.

When did charity stop being a heartfelt but personal choice and become such a commercial and cynical enterprise?

Especially those scheduled during comedy or light heated programmes.

Some adverts are good though. Especially all of those advertising cleaning stuff or medication. They all say Keep Away from Children.

Best. Advice. Ever.

Continental Tyres' advert on radio.  (paraphrased) "because we use German technology, it's better, and safer, than anything else"

Really?

Quoting myself but it was spectacularly poor timing to follow that advert on LBC with a NS&I advert where "saving makes you free".

This

is in my opinion the worst advert ever. Any way you look at it.  Self centred, smug, misogynistic, very 80's. I always hated it.

Hang on; you're objecting to an advert featuring Estelle Skornik?
