tim2
Derbyshire and England cricketer Mike Hendrick, 72. I saw him bowl once on a grey morning at Chesterfield with a wicket like a Cornish Yarg cheese. I don't think the batsmen hit a single one of his first 24 balls. The first one who did edged it to Bob Taylor. 1 "I am the avenging angel; I come with wings unfurled, I come with claws extended from halfway round the world. I am the God Almighty, I am the howling wind. I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"

Hendrick was bowling to Viv Richards who was in fantastic form. Richards belted one delivery straight back at Hendrick who might have been able to pull off a sensational caught and bowled if he'd made the effort. But instead, he ducked. No criticism from the commentator who suggested it had been a wise move. Edited July 28, 2021 by Old Frightful Sky Sports Jenna Brooks to Jake Connor regarding England selection : "Shaun Wane has said that he's spoken to you about why you were left out, he's also said he's told you what you needed to do more of, I'm interested, what do you need to do more of and did you do it tonight?"
