Well, Mr Oco, that just means 13,000 today ...

It's 6.30am and it's dark outside. I want to stay in bed for another hour but I'm up and dressed. I'm going for a walk! ?

It really is difficult at this time of year with the dark and cold. Well done, that's fantastic.

First day back on it completed. My 3 mile circular walk includes...

...seeing first light over the canal from the Old Railway Line...

...and finishing off by walking the last section of the Wilts & Berks Canal.

And, yes, that is a smile on my face! ?

Good stuff.

The Race to 1000k was a rather slow 6.75k round Alexandra Park this morning. Obviously I'm too dedicated to speed to stop and take photies, and no one wants to see my sweaty visage at the end. I am developing a deep and abiding hatred for dog walkers who think their precious poppet is fine not on a lead when they really are not.

My target for the year is 1500 miles (running). Did 46 miles last week, so off to a good start.

I'm 60 go to the gym three times a week using a bike, cross trainer, rower and weight machines.  Not bad for a packet a day man who only quit 8 year sago.

As George Burns said I can't help getting older but I don't have to get old.

Good luck to all in whatever fitness or weight losing  programme you embark on.

Cleans, goblet squats and rowing intervals today.

Deadlifts tomorrow which is always nice.

Is it safe to Google that phrase in work?

Do you not find working back and legs today negatively impacts your deadlifts tomorrow?

Didn't get to sleep as early as hoped so skipped the rowing intervals. Did sprints, jumps and then squats working up to 115kg 6x2 and a few accessory exercises. 4 more gym sessions to go and then I have a much needed week off (of sorts). Going to do some fitness tonight before coaching instead!

Joined a gym. Not doing too much but aim to go 6/7 days each week. Achieved that last week. Just debating which day off to have this week.

Probably starting this thread pushed me to properly join the boxing gym. I did half an hour of bag work, which certainly gives a sweat but is not going to make a big difference.

The success was the main coach saw I was not just slugging and from just trying to get me to pay, made sure I start going training with him. With me not speaking Spanish, he had not been interested before.

I am going tomorrow.

Very good, sounds great. 30 mins of bag work is tough!

Should be! But I find myself not pushing myself hard enough. Tomorrow there will be a coach there. to push me, which will be another matter.

This is also a sunny country, and I have a full head of dark hair, which means people here get my age wrong by the best part of ten years. Useful, for making sure a coach will push you hard.

22.5k steps today on top of whatever fitness was (I don't carry my phone for it). Pretty active day for me!

Tomorrow is relatively easy cardio in the morning, half an hour of yoga at lunch and rugby coaching again after work.

I am not sure you are at the level where counting steps counts! Well done, it is inspirational. But we want to concentrate on the challenge.

You looked very young in your photo ☺

Tomorrow is my second time back at the gym after 3 months so I will do an hour.

It's helpful reading about what everyone else is doing and a lot less stressful contributing to this thread than the Brexit one too☺

Nah - the squats were intervals between the rowing etc.

Deadlifts wont be to a max

Day 2 done! I even ran* the last 100m or so. Not much I know but, for a 21st, 48 year old, I'm pleased. Maybe the last 200m tomorrow.

*OK, jogged but it was faster than walking.
