Plastic Free at Crusaders

Recommended Posts

Posted

North Wales Crusaders Supporters Trust have purchased reusable pint and half-pint drinks 'glasses' for use at our home games, starting with our next home game against Whitehaven on Sunday 19th May

There will be no more single-use plastic cups.

Supporters pay a £2 deposit which can be reclaimed OR fan can keep their 'glass' as a souvenir OR reuse it at the next game.

Don't forget you'll need to pay a deposit as there will be no alternative drink 'glass' unless you bring your own.

THANKS FOR SUPPORTING OUR EFFORTS TO GO 'PLASTIC-FREE.

Its fantastic to see more and more sports clubs doing this. Its a really easy way of having a positive impact.

There's an initial outlay but it has a positive impact, reduced plastic waste going to landfill and attracts great publicity for the Club. Away fans can go away from the game with a souvenir or recover their deposit. It's well worth trying.

I thought this was about plastic Scousers and wondered whether Crusaders were really in a position to be choosey and ban Widnes/Saints fans.

Great initiative.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Just been to Toulouse and they’re still using last seasons glasses

sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward

Well I wouldn't expect them to bin them just because of that

Shouldn’t put the year and different club logos on then

I started my collection last week at Hull KR vs Leeds at Headingley with my Leeds supporting friend. I may go to the grounds of teams doing something similar.
