The NRL might get around to having a crack on the west coast but New York is a dead duck. And there’s still hope for Ottawa.

Apart from the NZ Warriors the NRL doesn't want to leave the Eastern seaborad of Australia let alone have a team in the US. They don't even want a team in Perth WA

Aren’t you the guy with the plan to have an NA comp because transatlantic is flawed?

When the history book is written it will say Toronto made a strategic error by agreeing to forego central funding to pursue their own, pie-in-the-sky TV deal.

I believe Ottawa has avoided that mistake, is an RFL member and will receive funding.

One thing is for sure, all 3 of those options would send the Leigh fans apoplectic 😂

Sounds good to me.😂

Lol I am very glad if that news came through that I would be the other side of the Pennines to Derek Beaumont.

= less TV money

Already taken a hit next year and had Toronto's this year. Should've gone for the solidarity option.

Why not just complete the season with 11 clubs ?

Why would you want to add a team that's been put together with Div 2 in mind ?

Fev wouldn't add a single penny to the Sky Contract, but possibly and i say Possibly London might

But that isn't how it works anyway, we are 7 rounds into the season, you don't just get to make a claim to the empty place on twitter!

Ideally, if there is enough interest to watch Toronto play league 1 and Championship teams from small northern English towns, there is enough interest for a domestic competition where they will play much more familiar names. New York, Ottawa, Toronto and any other NA teams playing each other will long term be more sustainable. That will be genuine expansion.

And if they used all home grown player's (thousands available according to Mr Perez) they can all grow in the sport together.

Crazy talk - place a largely part time team, reliant on dual-reg players, into a FT professional competition... oh and they start with a 0-6 record

That should go well.... 😂

There's 20 TWP players available. Will swap out dual reg for some of those, that'll suffice short notice.

Less games = less TV money. Even if it's not this year it will be next.

Things like that pretty much highlight that you probably aren't ready to be an SL club.

So Fev can manage that on zero central funding like Toronto had? Plus all the testing and bio-security costs?

The credibility of the game isn’t improved by promoting a side that haven’t earned promotion to complete the season.

Didn't they scrape into the five last year with a late run of wins ?

The RFL and SL may decide to replace them (I'm not sure how) but that would be different to Fev acting like idiots on Twitter.

I don't understand what Fev are doing other than act classless.

Look
If you had
One shot
Or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted
In one moment
Would you capture it
Or just let it slip? .......

To be fair, that isn't the issue. Last Thursday those things were fine for TWP. Now they are an excuse.
