I’ve said all winter (and been laughed at on this forum every time) that HKR will finish 9th or above, and nothing I’ve seen so far has suggested otherwise.

Most of the fc fans said on this forum. That we dare not call it our way.

We know the history of these fixtures very well.

Rugby Union the only game in the world were the spectators handle the ball more than the players.

Was on 6.00 (6/1)  here in Holland for HRK to win..who would not have took that after one game and  it being a local derby...But guess the bookies know better ?

Cracking game.

The fixtures have made the opening weeks of SL  great to watch.

I have to say, the Super League this year is a notch or two above what we have seen in the recent past.

Came here to say just that. Unlike in previous seasons, we seem to have hit the ground running in terms of quality on the pitch.

Both games this week have been on Sky Mix which has made them more accessible.

I watched both myself.

What a try that was. Could watch it for hours.

And decent shareable content!

Hull FC 22 Hull KR 18.

Well, not too far off.

Went pretty much as I expected in that it was a proper Hull derby. Bags of enthusiasm from the underdogs, in this case Rovers and, with respect, if they'd had the talent that we had available, they'd have probably won by some distance. We seemed out of sorts for long periods and I thought it was only individual class that got us the spoils. The room we allowed Litten suggested we'd never seen him before, not that he was one of ours before going to the dark side.

And talking of former players, I thought Rovers had signed a goalkicking Australian prop until my pal pointed out it was Jamie Ellis. Good grief, he's put some timber on!

Plenty for Rovers to build on and, while I doubt they'll be up there challenging come the business end, it looks like they'll have little to fear when it comes to scrapping for SL safety later on this year.

And that try, my word. ?

I couldn't stop myself applauding after they scored that, each player's unwillingness to die with the ball meant that they were always gonna score during that play no matter what our defence did.

Happy and very relieved to get the two points, if we looked out of sorts and didn't play particularly well, we can't be in too bad a place to pick up the win and should look a whole lot better after a few more games.

Next Sunday should give us a more realistic indicator of where we're at.

What a great match that was!

The only downside is people using it to bring up old quality arguments on here.

19,599 given as attendance, must say it looked more.

Even allowing for the "cordon sanitaire" at the north end of the east stand it had me wondering how you would have got another 5,000 in.

Maybe a few were missed due to the "technical issues" with the turnstiles.

Isn't Kris Welham at Salford now?

Six game ban.

No right of appeal.
