The Baron Mk11 311
See you've drawn Widnes, going to be a short cup run eh! Mind, we can't even get a game played. 1 1 Quote QUIS CUSTODIAT IPSOS CUSTODES

moorside roughyed 3,089
That's us out. The best result would be to the squad to come through it with no injury worries.

FailsworthYed 263
Cup run least of our worries, like others said no injuries and concentrate on the league
BryanC 478
The same sentiments were voiced a few seasons ago before the Hull KR cup match. Could be our finest hour. (Well since the last time we beat them over there as "no hopers" in the cup). 3
Tangle 155
People said we couldn’t beat Widnes in1990=when we were in the second division but we did.another game that only seemed like yesterday

At the end, the whole of the Widnes team, and they had some great players in their side at that time, couldn't get off the pitch quick enough to get away from the misery they'd had to endure for the whole 80 minutes. If only we could repeat that performance.
moorside roughyed 3,089
Me personally I'd rather us concentrate on staying in this division. We've got Whitehaven at the weekend at theirs, lets just hope we can get a result at the rec.
roughyed1064 121
not interested in this cup, i would rather us establish ourselves in this division for this season , we are not going to win this cup ok the money from cup run would help but its not going to happen. lets keep our eyes on staying up this season.

The Art of Hand and Foot 884
So, my view is that we need to use this game as a warm up for the real game Bradford next week. No slugging it out , no playing it safe, but to play with flair and speed. Get the ball wide, chip over the top, go for the 20/40 or 40/20. Throw caution to the wind. Practice for next week. ArthurO 84
Widnes 52 Oldham 12. Well. It could have been worse. I suppose. No doubt the lads put up a good performance but the most important thing is that, hopefully, we got through the game without any injuries. Serious or otherwise. 1
OLD YED 178
Not bothered about challenge cup. Shame we couldnt have drawn a SL team for financials but staying up is our priority. 4
moorside roughyed 3,089
At least the squad can concentrate on games that are winnable. Hopefully no injuries from this game. I see lalar is laughing at the previous post, I wonder what the rest of the teletubbies make of it. 4
