Very interesting to see where some of the smaller clubs are, well done SydR.

Jam Eater  1.(noun. jam eeter) A Resident of Whitehaven or Workington. Offensive.  It is now a term of abuse that both towns of West Cumbria use for each other especially at Workington/Whitehaven rugby league derby matches.

We visited Salses Xiii a few years back while over in Perpignan, we were given a fantastic welcome, firstly from the mayor in the village centre - free food and beer, then at the ground. It's a fantastic little club and it seemed the entire village turnout to support them.

For the moment they're back, in the fixtures there's two teams in Toulon and two in Montpellier, both have one club in the 4 th division and one in the third,

About 20 years ago I had a map of the Rugby XIII wine route, and spent a very pleasant autumn following it (and attending matches!). It would be a good idea to create a new one in time for the next World Cup.

Do you remember any of them? 🙃

It takes reasonableness to end that discussion.

My son's fixtures have just come out, u15s and u17s, there's only 11 teams in both categories in all of Occitanie/south west France, that's from Montpellier down through Perpignan and all the way to villeneuve Sur lot!

Makes it even more impressive the way they manage to get competitive French youth teams, I think there's only about 5 teams on the south eastern side,

Looks like there's only 10 u19s teams too, (maybe 13/14 max) including the lower Division (if there is one this year)
