It is interesting that only Shaw seems to be running with the P&R thing in SL. In fact Sky's angle is that relegation is being scrapped.

The bullet explaining grading is the same as that released a couple of weeks ago, although it does still refer to on and off field. But whilst it clarifies that P&R continues between tier 2 and 3, it still doesn't offer that in writing for SL.

It'll be interesting to see if anyone else repeats Shaw's claims. Surely he wouldn't be misunderstanding... Would he?

So I was right then ? 😉

About which bit?

The thing that everyone knew about weeks ago - that the only way to guarantee being a top tier club is to be category A?

The thing that was in the original release, clarified in the first press conference and covered again today?

Do you want an extra big pat on the head for being so amazing at understanding?

It won't make any difference in the long term as i can see a breakaway.

P

Who’s going to break away when only 1 out of 37 is opposed?

Can see Baz, Tez and Phil having to go on Sky Sports News a few times to try and explain to punters how this works tbh.

Not great for several reasons.

This is our biggest problem about a lot of things from rules to structures.

If someone puts a pile of cash on the table that clubs can only dream of they will be off in a second.

The game is ripe for some serious North American investment and i predict that is what will happen within the next 2/3 years.

And with RU problems there has never been a better time for a massive shake up.

NRL Europe ?

Should help to draw in the new fans we want , explaining last time was bloody fun , this one will really have people shaking their heads in disbelief 😂

Which clubs?

There are too few to breakaway.

All tiers of the professional game need each other - as they appear to have finally realised.

True , but is there a limit on the number of tiers we can have ? 😁

Does anyone have a rough idea which teams will be what grade?

Absolutely nobody , because they haven't decided who they want yet , so they haven't worked out what ' criteria ' they will use to achieve that aim 😉

Apologies but I haven't read through all this for the simple reason that we RL fans all know that whatever is voted for today will be changed in the next three or four years because it hasn't worked. It's the cynic in me, built over long years of supporting the game.

There won’t be a league of 10.

But to answer your question, we don’t know but id presume no P&R in that instance.

Brilliant , so when we get to 11 A grade and 1 B in SL the Championship clubs have plenty to play for , or will it be possible to achieve an A grade outside SL ? , Therefore displacing CAS the 1 year they do the double ? 😂

Bonkers

Well surely  the 4th place club must be relegated if the other 8 are protected.if the cat B team that wins the championship as got more  category points than the team in 4 place.
