You didn't have a choice to enter a team or not, you were expected to enter, hence you were given fixtures which you then chose not to fulfil. 

But as long as you're buying a squad to compete in SL then that's alright.

Pray tell how you run a reserves without getting an academy licence in your first year up

Must have really annoyed you when Huddersfield cancelled their reserves game against Hull a few weeks ago then, especially having one of the biggest squads in the league...

That's not for me to answer, but according to the RFL, ALL super league clubs AND clubs with elite academies are to run a reserves.

I'm sure Leigh could run a reserves team if they really wanted to?

They could still run an academy/development side but not an elite one, they chose not to.

Yes it did, but that wasn't the same reason as Leigh forfeiting fixtures.

In the same way as it's not for us to answer why the RFL are ok for us to forfeit games and to now drop out of the competition

Throw them out, it may give the club with an embarrassment of good player's and an underacheiving coach from the most westerly of West Yorkshire clubs a chance.

I agree, why haven't the RFL questioned Leigh before now as it's been pretty obvious what was happening.

You make that sound like Leigh are some kind of victims of a RL agenda, you chose not to run academy or reserves, you chose to spend lots of money on buying a lot of good players, and to be fair it appears to be paying off.

Don't make out Leigh are fighting against the odds, or that others are jealous of Leigh again, that's what happened a few years back and it didn't go down well

First team, and u15s/u16s and women's team. There's never been any claim to have a reserve side, in was always clear that we don't.

Not yet Jon, but there's hope, one thing is if Leigh Finish top 4 away from "many experts" perceived fight with Wakefield to avoid relegation and finish in the bottom two he will have done remarkably well.

Whilst I have spoken out previously against Leigh on this, and still think they have been wrong in the past, I do blame the game's weak administration for these failings too. Doing the basics, reserves, academy etc should be the basics when it comes to the minimum standards of a top flight competition and it shouldn't be up to the whim of individual clubs. You meet the standards or you aren't in SL. And yes I do appreciate the issues Leigh are now having in wanting an academy etc.

   I agree,he gets some stick but has been a breathe of fresh air in SL.Some of owners,directors and shareholders of SL clubs don't even try something different.
