Since Powell, they're terrible at selecting coaches, with no clear principle on what they want.

Bastien - Old School

Andy Hay - Young

Jon Sharp - Old School

John Duffy - Young

Ryan Carr - Young

James Webster - Experienced

McDermott - Old School

Long - Maverick.

They clearly flip flop between styles rather than having an identity and sticking with that.

The decision itself is a good one, but he should never have been awarded the job in the 1st place! I presume Fordy will be interim and if he does well, he'll keep it.

Spot on, although I’m sure that Carr would have been kept on, if he’d wanted to stay. The rest have been very poor choices. Ford has a decent record, so I’m hoping he will bring about an improvement in performances.

Does Ford have a good record? He clearly did well at York, but how much were they spending at the time?

He'll get it and keep it imo.

What is doing well for Fev though? Top of the league by a mile, 1st place nearly wrapped up and only 2 defeats in the league all season sounds pretty good.

Ford had a great record at first and did a phenomenal job, especially the first season in the Championship. York will always be grateful to him for steering us out of the abyss of Championship 1 when we didn’t even have a proper stadium. Then he started to make some poor signings (either old/injury prone/not very good) and we also ended up playing a dull, sterile ‘five drives and a kick” style of rugby during the covid years.

Playing some decent rugby and at least trying to keep same team together, what was the point in Chisholm coming back if he isn't going play him ?

There's a common denominator in all this.... That's 11 coaches (including caretakers)  been and gone since Powell 'left' in 2013.

My thoughts exactly...
