Do they consider themselves TONGAN though?

Are they TONGAN birthright and/or race?

Judging by the anthems I'd say yes.

Does the troll need feeding though?

It's the least they can do to settle petty TRL feuds.

That being the real sport in all of this.

I think a lot on here would rather see 80 minutes of bad refereeing decisions rather than the odd one just for the sake of consistency.

And yet lots of posters and RL fans in general still look for things to be negative about and wonder why the game doesn't grow or attract the level of interest/media attention/finances that RU etc does.

You spend far too much time worrying about anyone daring to not like something.

Almost like you are looking for something to be negative about. Let it go, let people have their views.

I thought Tonga’s try was an obstruction myself but their 50/50 now a days, but tbh I think ref as had a good game barring that incident.

I personally thought the defenders didn’t need to make a tackle on a player who had already overrun the ball. Try for me.

Can’t take this game seriously knowing one of the National teams playing doesn’t have a single player from the country there representing. So Stupidly illegitimate, this is not an international  test match, not even close. It’s England Vs a team of Aussies and Kiwis with Tongan Ancestry, Nothing Else.

It’s embarrassing these teams are allowed to take the field in an “International” Match, it’s not very international when the players aren’t at all from the country they play for.

Nice find, that testimonial team sheet with Bobby Charlton at #7 for Warrington!

Yeah like I say they’re 50/50s but if they hadn’t made that tackle and Tonga scored we would be saying why didn’t you tackle him lol.

We can't take you seriously either.

It was actually more in the old school crossing category. The ball carrier actually had the ball behind the runner, it's obstruction. Had the ball been passed behind the runner it would have been more grey, but the player caught the ball directly behind.

Just switch off. Do something else. There are loads of things to do.

Who am I to question if someone of Irish heritage considers themselves Irish?

I didn’t say anyone specifically. Do you think the Irish National is Irish ? Just answer and then you’re question will be answered.

Sorry, I love RL and especially international RL and want it to grow and expand and be popular, but it will never happen while "fans" of the sport are continually negative about everything.

Fans are negative in all sports, even those that grow. It's nonsense, just enjoy it and ignore them.

Why do they have to "be from that country"?

If they are Tongan and represent Tonga what does it matter where they were born or live?

Most sports are like this now, do we just scrap it all?
