Highlights how massively paper thin we are at the min. No depth what so ever Hoping for a couple more and a 2/3 season long loans.

We used 40 plus players last year. 23 is no where near enough in this league

There'll because link up with Catalans. I'd rather approach the season like this then add to it.

Fev currently have only 17; in the words of James Ford " We came to the playing market quite late in terms of switching from one aspiration to the other." In the circumstances Fev have probably done quite well to still land 4 of the 5 players they were reportedly targeting if they got into SL (Greg Eden being the one that got away), but obviously the squad looks very thin in terms of numbers, even with the DR link-up with Hull KR likely to be used on a regular basis.

With the playing budget halved from last year, the stated aim is to try and creep into the top 6 and then have a good crack at the play-offs if we make them.

1. Caleb Aekins
2 Connor Wynne
4 Greg Minikin
5 Gareth Gale
6 Ben Reynolds
7 Thomas Lacans
8 Gadwin Springer
9 Connor Jones
10 Nathan Massey
11 Brad Day
12 Jack Bussey
13 Danny Addy
14 Harry Bowes
20 Moris Kamano

not yet given numbers:
Mackenzie Yei
Josh Hardcastle
Ellis Longstaff

Think you've forgotten the two academy lads who have been promoted, Tom Delaney and Ethan Wood (I think it is) - they all count though I doubt either will feature this season.

I prefer the idea of duel reg. So lads how badly do you really want it.

Aye, coaches face off with blunderbusses to see who gets the star stand off this week.

"We'll sell you a seat .... but you'll only need the edge of it!"

Any news on where Jarrod Sammat has gone wouldn't be surprised for one last hurrah at the Broncos.

I think there was an article on here not long ago about him looking for a club. No real idea about how he has gone for the last couple of years, but I wouldn't say no to him coming on board for next year.

I believe he had a second job at sellafields, not sure if I am remembering that right or not. But would probably hinder him looking to play in London at the same time.

..you might be confusing your Jarrad/ Jarrod's..Jarrad Stack of the Barrow Raiders works up at Sellafield whilst Jarrod Sammut..ex Raiders.. doesn't....

No, I wasn't confusing the 2 Jarrad/Jarrod's. I have no knowledge of Jarrad Stack whatsoever.

I am sure it was one of the reasons he moved up to Cumbria after his Wigan stint.

I have now had a google and it was spoken about prominently in this thread:

If he did have that job or not, I have no idea.

Some big losses for Fev.

Looks like you will be relying on Hull KR massively throughout the season which has its own risks.

Starting 13 looks good but not much after that.

Yep. Very difficult when your budget is halved. You can't let absolutely everyone go, otherwise you are trying to recruit an entire squad from scratch, but if you keep about say 45% of your squad, that's 90% of your budget used up.

To be fair I don't think ANY championship squad has deep depth. Even Wakey, a couple of injuries in certain positions and they look very light. That being said they look the most equipped to strengthen as the season goes on.

Injuries will play a big part this year.
