Looks like another long season ahead for the Blue Sox.

Absolute terrible with the ball. Guess they are pinning all their eggs in the Widdop basket

Aye, you can always tell how a season will go for a club following the first pre-season friendly. A struggle for Fax no doubt, but the Bulls will be happy to know they're going to be topping the table come the end of the 24 season. 😉

Another trophy to put in your lots trophy cabinet. Will look good next to the one you got for beating us in the league last season. The 1895 cup will be feeling lonely in ours tonight.

We have no chance of topping the table dont be daft.  Weve just beaten a botton half Championship side, the result was to be expected. Lots more challenging games against much better sides ahead.

I went to the Bulls-Fax game at Odsal today.

Credit to both sets of players for providing a competitive and entertaining game in such godawful weather.

I really enjoyed it,

Merry Christmas. :kolobok_santa2:

It is the season of goodwill and Leeds have been very giving. Reminiscent of last years Boxing Day game. Ominous for the season ahead

Not really ominous these games mean zilch and weve half a team missing.

having said that Wakey look well drilled and should go well in the championship

I disagree, they may not determine the season but they are an indicator. Game is very similar to last years. We look dysfunctional and clueless. Wakefield with a rookie and hooker in the halves are dominant. They also have half a team missing.

Its going to be another long season (but I knew that already)

We lost the boxing day game when we won the treble, they mean absolutely nothing.

Anyway its given the moaners a Christmas present 😉

Rhinos totally dominated second half with some lovely stuff especially from the kids 41-22 full time 9,500 crowd

Yeah the Trinity kids and the changes to the whole back line just allowed Leeds to take advantage which they did very well.

jowitt, Walmsley going off along with Cozza end of first half beginning of second pretty much destroyed the whole trinity structure.

Unfortunately the Leeds youngsters were better than the trinity youngsters too.

Overall looking at the time trinity had their settled players in that first 40 it went pretty well and they looked well drilled.

As a trinity fan it’s more the depth that worries me as the season unfolds.

Trinity didn’t get a single 6 again or penalty that second 40 I don’t think. Must have been about 5/6 possession turnovers for not playing ball correctly all in Leeds favour. Trinity need to tighten that up. All fixable I suppose.

Andy Ackers set the comeback in motion, by far the Rhinos best player and only senior player to really impress.

Of the youngsters, Jack Smith looks a real athlete with bags of pace. Probably won’t get much game time in 24 with him being 5th choice centre behind Newman, Momorovski, Roberts and the returning Simpson but a stint in the Championship could open up the opportunity to replace Newman in 25.

Elsewhere, Nicholson-Watton looks a mongrel of a player, akin to Reuben Cotter in style. He was the best of the youngsters and I expect he’ll get some game time in 24.

Morgan Gannon went off with another worrying knock (possibly another head knock)

Trinity will be fine, you can’t read too much into these games but Wakey did look well drilled with their stronger team out. Lawford will be an excellent player
