If a fee is paid (which I doubt it will be)

he’s gunna be a back up half for them so will problay come back on DR

if we do get a decent fee what current halves who are of his quality are available

I'd be surprised if we let him go without a pretty substantial fee (if true).

Wouldn't be any halves of his quality available over here hence why HKR would have been persistent in their interest. Australia might be a different kettle of fish especially with the recent relaxation of the visa rules.

Has our team for the Keighley match been announced yet? Who do you reckon will be our replacement and goal kicker?

Wouldn't surprise me if Addy played as a half (he's done it before) and imo he's our next best kicker too. Other alternatives include Bowes, who has played half a fair bit this year, or even switch Wynne or Harris to 1 and go back to Aekins at half, though I'm not sure many fev fans want to see that.

Ford is going to earn his wages this season winning enough games to keep supporters happy.Have the memberships gone out yet.I have e mailed the club three times and have not had a reply. Can't blame Reynolds for going to play at a higher level.J would have wanted better if we had reached SL but he would have done a job for us in the Championship.

Hull Daily Mail are usually on the ball with their Rugby League coverage so he may split his time between KR and Fev when not required.

Cheers i will have to read the entire thread first in future lol.

I live miles away as well, just took the opportunity to collect as I was in the area visiting relatives. I've had to ring up to get posted in previous years so thought I may as well as I was passing the ground.

Confirmed by the club. What a shambles. Marquee signing, club captain. Hope the fee was decent.

As you say, marquee signing, club captain, Ford tried to sign him several times before, and HKR have reportedly been after him for a while. Losing him hurts us a lot so I very much doubt the club have done this lightly, or just for the money.

Only a couple of years since we had Morgan Smith, Chizzy, Jonno Ford & Tom Holmes more or less at the same time. Feast or famine for us at half back.

Wonder what potential options are, I don’t mind aekins there for this weekend but he’s an out and out fullback not a half we found that out last season but what are the other options out there

Options probably thin on the ground as mentioned by TPH, hence HKRs persistence. Overseas potentially an option, I wonder if any of the current or past Oz players have any contacts or recommendations.

I can understand him going as a player, but having been made captain and the responsibilities that go with that. I expect more loyalty from the player. As for having him back on DR you can shove that up your arris. As far as I'm concerned we'll get through, and chuff him and HKR.

I’m very happy to be joining my boyhood club, my family are very proud that I’ll be playing for the team they support.  :kolobok_laugh1:
