Must admit I raised my eyebrows when I saw the score as they had previously looked very good. Wakefield fans didn't seem that impressed by their performance today, perhaps conditions had an impact. Apparently Fordy was in attendance.

Silver linings!

I agree with the above though. It's very dated and should be improved. I'm guessing the lack of crush barriers has led to this decision and the potential crowd hasn't been high enough for it to be an issue for years.

    Can't we use the Council grant money £2 million.I think Cas and Wakefield have or are using it on their stadiums.

Reduced gate? Who writes these things ? Reduced crowd behind the PO Rd end but plenty of room else where ,not going to be full.

  Both Wakefield and Cas have or are using the Council £2million from the Wakefield district Rugby League resilience fund.We need to build a new terrace and in the corner put a food bank for use weekdays by local community then all boxes are ticked.We still have it don't we or has it evaporated.

It's to actively support and encourage the growth of grassroots rugby league - while increasing the community use of their facilities.

In theory, it's a good idea. Is it really needed though: without having any context as to the actual reduction, is it likely to be an issue other than twice against Wakey? Given my slightly tongue in cheek comment, but with a potentially serious point that this may actually increase our IMG score (caveat, I don't definitely know either way), then could the funding be better used elsewhere?

It would be good to have sight as to the intended use of the council funding however, whatever the plan is.

I believe the possible need for the re-installation of crash barriers was mentioned at the most recent fans' forum so it can't really be that much of a shock to the Club

I'd be surprised if at least some of that funding hasn't already been used to buy the old bowling club and land across to Station Lane, possibly with some the rest earmarked for the proposed sports rehabilitation hub?

I'm sure you're right but I have no idea what that means or what implications it has.  Here's me thinking that they could give me a few grand and I could spend my days painting the rusty old railings in my impending (early) retirement.  Lets not get started on the 1950's terracing designed for childrens shoe sizes from which I've stumbled down (sober) more times than I care to remember.........

If there is any money left for us from WMDC I would say use it or lose it - even if its not already been redirected to less important areas such as education , social care etc

Just a thought who's going to do the count is the council going to send some one and when his tally counter reaches their perceived number will he  get security to escort people away from the terrace or just shut the gates
