jroyales Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Got to get another big score to keep the pressure on the chasing pack. The question being posed is will Longy use his fringe players again. This didn't work out too well the last time he tried it. My opinion is you MUST always play your strongest side based on how well they train and fit the plays being worked on. 1
sheddingswasus Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Cornwall are getting their act together as we saw at BP. They also won away at Midlands on Sunday. This will not be a walk over.
m brooksy Posted May 14, 2024 Posted May 14, 2024 Would rest a few of the older guys like Turner and Kopzcak ready for the massive game next week but keep the rest of the team the same. Cornwall played well against us a few weeks ago and obviously did well last week to beat Hurricanes. 1

Not worried about points difference. 2 more points and no injuries is all that matters. 3

Bert Street Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Play the best team you can every time. When one drops out, pick the next best. It's hardly a fixture list which overworks players. 1

Bedford Roughyed Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 1 1 With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!
jroyales Posted May 17, 2024 Author Posted May 17, 2024 Is Ellis injured? And who will play scrum-half?
shaw llewellyn Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 I don't take too much notice of 21 man squad and will wait until 17 announced at lunchtime Sunday. I guess Astley or Paga in the halves with Craven but happy to wait and see.
m brooksy Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Astley into the halves definitely. Paga or Aldridge onto the bench. 1

ArthurO Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Don't underestimate the Cornish lads. The gave us a hard game a last month and they beat Midlands away, last week. They'll be keen to knock us off our perch. They may not be the biggest, fastest or most skillful side but they more than make up for that with energy and enthusiasm. They never drop-off a tackle, they never take a step backwards and they never stop trying regardless of the score against them. I expect us to win, but it may not be as easy as we would like it to be. Come on Oldham ! 2
moorside roughyed Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 Good luck Oldham. It's beautiful weather down here. 2

The Art of Hand and Foot Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 Was it windy in Cornwall? 6 conversions missed. Think we need to look at our kicking boots.
