Can't believe what i have just listened to looked dead and buried and another defeat to a team around us but to score 30 unanswered points takes some doing even playing against 12 men, still questions need to be asked about the performance before then but that can wait for another day.

This cannot disguise the fact that we were dire for 65 minutes. As a priority i’d like us to address our 65 minute performance. We got out of jail big time. Still, we dug deep and we got two ever so previous points. Well done lads.

It shows that they CAN do it, what happened in the first half still needs addressing but the character shown in that second half is unquestionable.

As good as winning felt, spare a thought for a Swinton. They must be absolutely kicking themselves.

They can’t complain about the red card, blatant shoulder to the head, Dagger doesn’t look good, but must still be a sickener . I have never witnessed anything like that comeback in 50 odd years of watching Rugby League and certainly not from a York team even against 12 men that takes some doing in 12 minutes!

Sorry 12 men

Yes Dagger in the bin…. Again , professional foul at the play the ball.

he has had it all today , bet his head is still ringing from the high shot and he has had stitches in a gash on the chin.

hope we can keep hold of both Pele and Litton for a few more weeks. Pele brings a bit of size and power to the pack that we desperately needed.

Unbelievable comeback after sounding terrible. I think we have a good side but belief and confidence is low and when we go behind early we seem to struggle hopefully more confidence and belief from todays game to take into the  Widnes game.

In this instance it sounds like he took one for the team

Most effective bit of his York career so far.

Nope. Even a man down, you shouldn't ship 30 points in 13 minutes. They were the best side for 67 minutes, but a game lasts 80!

Was talking to Josh Daley about Frank The Tank's run upfield to clear the lines in the last five and Josh was saying he played on the opposite side to FP in the Australian leagues and he did that to them, ninety metre try and they just couldn't stop him. Hope we keep him for another week or two yet - Hendo's hopeful.

Couple of updates on injured players in Hendo's after match interview if you fancy a listen - Twitter/X  BBC Radio York Sport.

Exactly. Also, for 67 minutes the Swinton fans near us had seen the officials as faultless, but in the last 13 minutes apparantly they didn't have a clue. For what it's worth, I actually thought we came out on the right side of a couple of close calls late on today, but that makes a change.

Got it in one there Roger, " when we go behind early we seem to struggle" .  Think it was about 60 minutes when Acko said that the Knights players were wandering about with hands on hips looking dejectedly at each other. Or summat like that. It appears to me that this current team appear to be mentally lacking when the chips are down, recent examples being Haven and Sheffield when things were going against them. In todays game the Knights were lacking a spark, and worryingly, but fortunate for us, it was Swinton who provided it with the sending off. We'll happily let Swinton have their own inquest as to why they suddenly imploded, but as Fenton mentioned above it is imperative that the Knights have a good look at their performance today, certainly in the first 65 minutes.

Anyone know a good sports hypnotist?

Yes, apart from running riot against the amateurs up at Newcastle. I've always considered Dagger to be a classy player and thought he would be a very useful addition this season. BUT, I do wonder if his temperament gets in the way of his performance?

Could have thrown the towel in at 22-0 with a man in the bin but kept them to nil thereafter even when they went in front they were probably at their most vulnerable after a short restart which they lost. For me it shows a togetherness. Well done boys

Imagine at 22-0 down with 12 minutes left, you decided “sod this, I’m off home.”

Hmm, I'm not sure 'team' is correct on that one, Peter, I'd argue that there were some important members of the side yesterday that were still giving it the lot before that game-changing sending off.

I hear criticisms of Will Dagger but I don't know of many full backs at any level that would have carried that ball into that challenge like he did yesterday.

I think some of the body language, an hour in, was down to pure frustration that nothing was coming off, One player in particular tried everything he could and nothing went for him. Eventually you end up being guilty of overplaying or trying the ridiculous and it goes from bad to worse.

The input, belief and desire of Tommo, Fitzy, Santi, Big Frank and Josh Daley particularly in that bonkers 13 minutes turned the inevitable into the incredible.
