Three successive league defeats is a distant memory for us, but here we are, in need to breaking this losing run.

As has been pointed out elsewhere, we used six players from other clubs at Sheffield. Four DR from Hull KR, one short loan from Cas and one season long loan from Leigh. And that was with two players coming back after injury, Springer and Turner.

The AWOL list for the Sheffield game was:

Wynne

Hardcastle

Lacans

Massey

Day

Bussey

Bowes

Kamano

Who knows which of those eight will be available for Sunday? Quite a few, I hope.

York got off to a slow start, but they seem to be turning it around now with some good results, so let's see.

Up The Rovers.

We’ve got quite a big middle unit with  nakumbuwi springer and Albert mix them with kamano, addy and some of KR lads through middle it’s just the backs we need to sort

once we’ve got settled half backs it’ll be first time it’s happened in 18 month so hopefully season gets better from here

He'll be a bit rusty whenever he's back.

Remember the old days when a player would get a comeback game with the A team after a long spell out?

Remember it well alongside my old mucker Barry Limb

Three half backs in the squad, what a luxury. I wonder if we'll get to see at least two on the pitch at the same time.

Much better looking squad this week.

Missing Hardcastle, Massey, Albert and Bussey.

Two loans Nakubuwai and Johnson

Two DR Fishwick and German

One debut Patton.

Great to see Tommy Lacans back. Let's see if he makes the 17.

Also back Bowes and Kamano

Can only see 4 obvious middles in the 17 which is one short for me. Not a fan of pushing back rowers into the front row you get rolled down the middle if you do that. We’ve made that mistake several times

Can you pay on the gate and if so is it £20 on the day , Thanks in advance 👍May see some of you in the pub next to the station before and after the game for some friendly banter 🍻

Yeah there's a small ticket office outside the ground on the car park.

Cheers Fevrover , Hopefully should be a good game tomorrow where improving now we have both our half backs playing together (first time last week for a while) like yourselves been riddled in injuries and still have some good larkers out , looking forward to it but that Ref is certainly not a York  fan’s favourite choice 🤣🤣👍

With The General making his debut good weather forecast and renewed optimism in the club, what do you think the attendance should be?.I was thinking 2000/2200 should be round about the mark.We do clash with Family Heritage Day at Ponte races and with a family ticket for 2 adults and unlimited under 18's at £28 that looks very good value.Of course all racecourses should admit accompanied under 18's in free as by law they are not allowed to bet.

Just seen the team before going to the match, looks as good as we are likely to get today.

Complete and utter shambles, after the first 15 mins. No structure,.drive it down the middle, when it was crying our for expansive rugby.  4 on the trot , cannot see a way back with Ford in charge. On a day like today with 2 half backs we should have used the backs a lot more . Totally disgusted.
