Also if Ford got sacked who would you like to see take over?

Someone akin to Ryan Carr. Someone without close links to the area. There are pros and cons for local knowledge but someone of Ryan's ilk would fit the bill. Fev deserve to be at the top table.

Only coach to win anything at Featherstone this millennium

😎🤔😉

Not true. We won the Grand Final in 2011 under Daryl Powell, and won umpteen League Leaders Shields as well.

He's deliberately contrarian to the point where he doesn't actually read what people have said back to him to get his kicks. Sad really.

At least he's leaving York alone 😉

It would be great for the town.

The area and its history. I know this could be said of many RL towns and cities. Swinton and others have been there in the past. I know they have every right to be there too but just me being sentimental.

You don't know what you had until it's gone. Look how popular the InterWorks competition was in York a few years back. Even the Marcia in that rough ghetto of Bish had a Sunday team.

Very surprised that with his knowledge of the game we have not had a comment from The Phantom Horseman. Is he Mark Campbell in disguise? no he can't be he is far too literate. It is obvious he has a great knowledge and love for Rovers but what are his thoughts on our current performances?.

We were very poor on Sunday barring the first 20 minutes (when we were really good, which made what followed much harder to take). I'm not really a fan of slagging the players or coaching staff off in public, it just doesn't do anything for me or make me feel better about a poor performance. I know other people will feel differently but I support Fev for the pleasure I get out of it and I don't get anything out of dwelling on the negative stuff. A lot of people follow sports teams and it just seems to make them miserable or angry, I've never really wanted to go down that route.

We were very poor at the weekend, it's not an easy time to be a Fev fan at the moment, you'd think we'll be up against it against Toulouse for sure but I'll be rooting for the team to bounce back on Saturday evening.

It would certainly be a Fev thing to do, to turn up in Toulouse on Saturday night and turn them over.

Supported the Rovers sinced 1938. Only missed games when I did my National Service in Eygpt. My thoughts are just let it unravel. I have seen lots of ups and downs in my supporting years and eventually we come to an even keel. Whatever the present performances I will continue to support my team. UTR.

Agreed. What will be will be. No point stressing or getting angry at something outside your control.

Young Master Bates you've a lot to learn🤔😉

I get my kicks in ways you cannot imagine🤣

As the joker once said

"why so serious"

You've stated your not going while Ford is still in charge

So don't it's that simple 🤔😉

I partly agree with the comments above

Losing games - especially when we're expected to win doesn't half spoil my Sunday evenings.  I wish it didn't.  But if it didn't I probably wouldn't get the same buzz when we win and come to think about it I probably wouldn't care enough to take a few hours out of my Sunday.  If we're being honest I don't think any of us walk away after a defeat and forget about it ?

Maybe getting angry is another level to just being a bit disappointed but we have now seen an unacceptable run of repeated poor performances / results against very beatable opponents,  In doing so we've seen even more crucially a lack of effort / desire / intensity.  So I think people paying their money have the right to get angry and have their say if it makes them feel better.  We've seen a number of players turning out for us this year who haven't looked interested imo.  Some may disagree but that sort of thing makes me angry. I don't particularly want to pay £20 for a slap in the face every week.

Anyway of course its not a matter of life and death - its far more important than that.....

Think the game is braced for a seismic change, owners unsure what direction the game is going to go in.

Tackling below the shoulders could be a death nail for the game as we know it.

I'm not convinced IMG is the way forward.. Think over the next 3 years the game will either make it, or break it

Wakefield fans on the crest of a wave... Let's see where they are in the next couple of years..

I'll stick my neck out and say not top 6

Defeat for you on Saturday at Toulouse could see you out of the top 6.

It's been a long time since that happened 🤔

Nothing lasts for ever 😉,  i agree though but i think the game is dieing a slow death especially below SL. Will Wakefield still get good crowds if they start losing in SL again ? We will find out soon enough.

They can do what they want with the Challenge Cup but they still won't get fans attending like they did. And they won't fill Wembley again ,too expensive and it's more trouble then its worth. 64,000 there for THREE games ,it's a good job Wakefield took 7,000.

I've had to laugh Colin with all this conjecture, rhetoric and anger on and off this forum about the team coaches chairman CEO during our current situation. Personally I have seen FEV win cup finals lose cup finals win championships lose championships play in the top league play in the bottom league and have to admit I've loved every minute of it and intend to love every minute of it until I'm pushing up the daisies.

Don't get me wrong I like FEV winning and would love us to win  every game but as the Spice Girls said I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want

I really really want to watch FEV play because I remember if RFL and Lynsey had their way I would have lost that opportunity

I hope that future generations of my tribe ad infinitum can stand behind the sticks and watch FEV play just like my Great Grandads and Grandads did when FEV set off on their/ our illustrious journey
