Villefranche wolves are in there not villeghailanc, but I've heard it's very complicated at Toulouse and rumours they may drop down to elite 2, quite a few Toulouse players have moved to Villefranche and st Gaudens, also heard the catalans team is going to be very young as they have pulled a lot of funding for the reserve team to cover the travel of visiting super league teams, alot of the older experienced players they brought in last year will leave,

What SL have done to Catalans is basically reducing their SKY monies to 50% or even less.

There is a hard core of clubs that don't want them i would say now 5.

Anyway if the NRL make the move then it's game on 🙂

Is the guy from the motor trade  still associated with TO?

Maybe he didn't realise the true costs, as he said he was going to do more for the reserve team but has done less,

Sounds like he’s just after supporters business.  TO seem to have a big list of sponsors but if they’re all just chucking in €100 then they will struggle.

It pains me to say this but I’m getting less and less convinced about the pros of having French teams in the SL and Championship. From what’s being said on here they aren’t putting much into the junior pathways because they are spending all there money on travel costs and the first team squads.
I know Catalans have been a success but I’m not sure if they’ve had a positive impact on the game in France or the commercial value of SL. I’m saying this as someone who would really like to see a thriving game in France and has been a fan of French teams in the British League system

That's because the clubs are he'll bent on kicking them out. What official in their right mind expects a whole club to cover flights and travel costs. That's just unprofessional. The hob knobs in super league should have went out try and get a official airline company to sponsor the league,   like Ryanair.

Look at London, even before they started this season IMG already condemned them from the Super League, hence why they didn't bother too invest.

Club Bosses running Super League is like your mother in-law organising your Stag Party, it ain't going go down well.

The new SUPER XIII branding looks a lot like the SUPER LEAGUE 👌

It's practically the same except a hexagon instead of a shield.

Maybe it's their equivalent way of saying Super League?

In fairness, that's a completely different situation.

Nope that's how inept the whole thing is.

London were too far off an SL place to spend money this season to make up enough ground. Hopefully they can regroup in the Championship and invest in the right areas to get up to a grade A or one of the highest Bs

It's just unfortunate that a team with very little chance currently of achieving the criteria needed to start in SL happened to be the final team to win promotion before the change over. It's the transition year between 2 systems that's screwed them over.

In hindsight, it might have been better to have promoted a team based on criteria and relegated the bottom team during the transition year. Would have avoided a team with no hope being in the league. But I guess no one really thought a team outside it Fev or Toulouse would win!

Who’s saying Catalans aren’t putting much in?
