This referee has no idea of the concept of a  knock on having to go forwards

For a while now, any lost ball has been automatically flagged as a knock on, irrespective of the direction of the ball.

This has been a benefit of the captains challenge in Australia, teams started challenging these calls and the video ref agreeing so the on-field ref's are letting more knock backs go.

Not sure I’d have gone for 2 there. Field position and pressure on the Leeds line felt more important.

Leeds discipline is shocking and there appears to be no effort to change that mindset for the remainder of the game.

Can't decide who is the worst McDonnell in attack or Handley in defence and the Momster rugby league's answer to Frank Spencer.

Well played Salford they were well worthy winners. It pains me to say I don't think there's a coach in the world that can make Leeds into a good side.

Apart from the times the ref waves play on, usually in the same game.

Another poor game from the Leeds squad too.

This weekends games have produced some real uninspiring performances. What the hell has happened to the product?

Leeds probably need a big rebuild of their squad, but i don't think it will happen,

while ever Leeds keep faith in total amateur  players like Cam  Smith week in-week out then they will never win anything as long as Brad Arthur has  hole in his ar.........

So easy on the eye Salford, hope they can actually go all the way to Old Trafford, the table doesn't lie, 4th on merit.

ill discipline and dropped balls lost Rhinos that game. The amount of high tackles was ridiculous. I thought Salford deserved the win but it could have been a win the other way if the Leeds had more discipline and more composure attacking Salfords try line when they got close.

Think it is a symbol of the thin squads the clubs run these days, tight budgets mean a few injuries and the standards drop off fairly quickly.

These sort of games didn't used to be on TV either which doesn't help.

Total lack of leadership on show again in that Leeds side.

Given the contract situation I'm not even sure what can even be done.

players sign up to play the greatest game - then the ref sends them off for playing it - thats the sport now

Nothing. True, I didn't like - or watch much of - the Saints game. But then again, why would I?  The Wire /HKR game was thorougly enjoyable, as was the Wigan game and today's Salford game, right to the very end, and the Storm Vs St George game was superb.

Perhaps too many games to watch. Time was when getting to Central Park every fortnight was all there was, whereas watching four or five games a week on TV makes one jaded.

The teams i find most entertaining are Leigh,Hull KR and Salford. The players are not stuck with a rigid game plan. They are allowed to improvise and play what they see.

Not just that but also the way the game is allowed to be played... e.g. the amount of interference in the ptb and laying on in the tackle...

How many times were players allowed to stand in way on a quick ptb which meant the dummy half having to work around the man to get the ball... in one the opposition player was in between the hooker and ball... as to interference/laying on or length of arm wrestle..

Not a good product in the majority of games.. I think I am losing the joy of watching the game...

Salford far the better team, especially 2nd half. I do wonder about leeds basic rugby intelligence...
