Another great day to cap a fantastic season. We actually started quite poorly making a few errors and Workington played well in the first 20 mins and had some lovely kicks keeping us deep in our own half. Once we just went forward we dominated and rolled them down the middle. Defence was supreme again with Mo's shot on their full back being one of the hits of the season.

Mo himself was excellent as was Dixon on the other wing who has been a superb signing. Ted and Sidlow were excellent starting at prop and Johnson and Kopzcak were great off the bench as well. Wildie who is Mr Consistent had another cracker.

Can't wait for next season already.

What shirt were we wearing today? A one-off or next season’s home shirt?

It was a one off to celebrate the league championship. It had league winner 2024 or similar on the shirt. They had replicas on sale but all sold out by 1.40 when we tried to get them.

Great season and a wonderful day yesterday. Well done to everyone concerned. Already looking forward to next season. Good luck to our neighbours, Rochdale, in the play offs. It would be great for them to come up as well and also give us our usual local derby games to look forward to.

I was a bit disappointed to find out long after the game finished that the Southward who turned out for Workington yesterday is the grandson of the late, great, Ike Southward. After the game finished some of the Workington players came over to the corner where I was standing taking photos and young Southward was stood right next to me. Had I known he was Ike's grandson I would have had a word as Ike was one of my Oldham heros back in the day.

Good luck in the championship Oldham.
