Yes. No loop fixtures.

is that bad

There is zero reason as to why starting on Boxing day would remove loop fixtures.

It would be the same season, just starting and ending at different points.

Any further elaboration on the whole "football pauses" bit?

As a championship club supporter, I already don't go to loop fixtures.

But, as the proposal was to retain a season of the same length, I'm not seeing any reason why loop fixrures wouldn't still be in this brave, new, winter world.

Bumper crowds, football pauses, better than shopping, start with a bang than a whimper in mid-Feb … finish the season on the first week in Sept

So, identical to the idea tried a couple of decades back.

What's changed that will make it work this time?

Plenty of people happy with poor crowds in January and February for the sake of a "bumper" crowd on Boxing Day.

Trouble is, these bumper crowds rarely appeared atmost clubs.

If the Boxing Day game goes ahead, even.

Connor out to prove a few doubters wrong, Rhinos 12 Trinity 0 all Rhinos points from Jake

Do you think that starting line up is going to be the starting line up? How has Handley done at centre?

Apologies for the questions I'm at work currently so can't watch!

I think Miller will start at 1 and Connor on the bench but I suppose it depends on how Connor goes against Wigan.

Handley went OK I think he’ll go well at centre.

Biggest difference was the Pack both additions added a lot and TNW and Holroyd looked sharp aswell.

Thought most of the new signings for both Leeds and Wakey went well. Connor played well and both Hall and Siva made great meters on kick returns. Thought Russell went well for us and Trueman's kicking game was good. Cam Scott look very good as well. Should've delt the comedy try but hay ho. A good day out.

Leeds took half the tram off second half and some of the kids are struggling 12 all now

Leeds first team first 40 with Trinity missing from starting team:

jowitt

johnstone

Mckmeeken

Atoni

Hood

Doyle

Pitts

Storton

I think two Connor steps the difference, I’m pretty happy as a trinity fan with a half strength team. Though saying that, it highlights trinity have good rotation options of SL quality.

Trinity also played young players in that second 40.

Overall it was pretty even. I think both clubs can take alot from that tbh.

Sivo looks like he lacks the legs. Might struggle against some faster wingers. A young player in Pratt handled him very well most of the first 40.

I thought Connor and Frawley were pretty good for Leeds today.

2024 Wakefield continues, regardless of opposition. Too many spilled passes and six agains.

He looked decent but felt he should have backed himself a bit more.

Think both coaches will be happy and a lot of young players from both clubs will have really enjoyed the day today.

He did indeed, along with Frawley and those two halves ran the show for Leeds.

Agreed he could of had a couple of tries himself.

Not necessarily try’s but he could’ve put the step to try get through the line a few times. Just as I thought young Smith could’ve have done same for Trinity.

Comedy try gives Leeds the win in front of 10k fans who couldn't find anything better to do.

Well I dont know about you, but watching Rugby League live, albeit a friendly, beats most things for me.
