Could be worse, personally I think the two young refs we have had so far this season have done a pretty good job in the middle,

I was rather hoping it would be Ryan Cox again. He was excellent in the Widnes Cup game.

What…so that when he makes a blunder the fans can yell “you suck, Cox”.

Brown
Bjb
Buchanan
Law
Galeano
Harris
Hingano
Martin
McShane
Fitzy
Bailey
Dee
Thommo

Jacques
Santi
Hudson
Reynolds

freshen the team up a bit after that fev loss now we have the ability to do it.

That team should be a match for any in this division.

I'd always like to find a place for Ukuma though...but who to drop?!

Ukuma for Reynolds in my opinion - Harvey not done anything wrong and I’m a big fan. But I still think Ukuma would get the nod for me.

Also, I’d keep Cooky on the bench instead of O’Neill. More versatile.

Applegarth in his pre match interview on Radio York more than less said why should he leave cooke out of the team, but would go with Fitzy over Ukuma for this weekend's game.

Playing out of his skin at full back this season, good job as Dags looks to be out for the foreseeable future. Fitzy will be chomping at the bit for a runout on Sunday, as for O’Neill it’s a hard one, an unknown quantity for us, but he does have something to prove too, so who do you leave out? Who’d Be a coach! 😀

Yes - but I was talking about what I’d do - not the coach. That said, the coach has forgotten more than I’ll ever know!

O’Neill for me. No games in 3 years plus. We will need him as the season goes on but I don’t think Sam has done anything to be left out… again, just my opinion.

Id go with the same 17 apart from If Fitzy is fit and firing then give Ukuma a rest. Only other change is O'Neil for Reynolds. Again Reynolds has done nothing wrong but from what I've heard about O'Neil in training he's absolutely flying and the time has come to unleash him.

Sam Cook seems to be the forgotten man amongst supporters at times. For me he's one of the most versatile players we have, works his socks off and one of the first names on the teamsheet every week.

Only other possible change is to bring Law back in for Field to freshen up the backs but again Field has done nothing wrong and in my opinion is becoming a very accomplished centre.

Thankfully team selection is all down to Mash and I bet none of us get it right. 😂

Knights are 1/4 with Skybet to win outright today. Widnes get 14 start on the handicap. In the 1895 cup, Knights get 4 points start and can be backed at 11/8 to win outright.

A mixed bag today thought defensively we were excellent, but in attack we won't as clinical as we could of been especially Higano in the first half who seemed out of sorts .

Ata was totally anonymous in the first half, at least he came to life a bit more in the second, not the best from Mr Mikalauskas today but can’t have any complaints about Jesse getting 10 mins in the bin, could have easily been a red card the way things are these days. Thought Hudson looked good when he came on for his brief spell. I will reserve judgement on today’s debutant, he only had about fifteen minutes on the pitch.

Agree. Ata seemed a bit all over the place today. Passing was hit and miss and some of his tackles were scary, Way off and lucky not to get penalised.

Good to get the win and we defended well against a pretty shapeless Widnes who offered no real threat. If we'd had as much territory as them we'd have put 50 plus on.

I have to add that the referee isn't just poor he's absolutely clueless and a disgrace.  He made some shocking decisions for both sides today. I can understand refs getting some things wrong, we're all human, but as a rugby league fan today was embarrassing and it needs sorting. He clearly isn't capable of doing the job and needs removing.

Not sure how Widnes managed to be still in the game with 20 minutes to go today. I thought both teams and officials (with decisions going both ways) were below par. The only points the Vikings managed in the first half were off the back of a poor kick out on the full from Harris and York really should have put the game to bed much earlier in the 2nd half... but a series of errors and poor decision making kept the away team in with a shout far too deep into the game than they should have had. Thought Brownie and BJB were stand outs for the Knights in, if I'm honest, a lack lustre performance all round. Will be interested to hear what Mash made of the performance when I get chance to play it back. Good to get the win though and its always nice to pick up championship points even when not playing well. Will have to play much better against most Championship teams if we are to be challenging top 6 places later in the year...and so much better if we are to get past the Bulls in the 1895 SF.
