hindle xiii Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 I watched last week's Paul Hollywood Bread, but it was identical to the Lorraine Pascale programme that proceeded it. So I didn't bother with this week. What I have yet to find out with Food Glorious Food is, what happens in the next round? I think with it being a Simon Cowell err, creation I'm too hard wired to the tedious formula. Is there a boot camp and judge's houses? I'd watch it to see Loyd Grossman's house... Do they have to bake a ginger sponge with a Michael Jackson theme? Will it go to Breadlock?
Futtocks Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Another quality chunk of Richard P.Feynman - . The picture quality is not as good as The Pleasure of finding things out (also highly recommended), but the programme is still very interesting and enjoyable. It also includes a conversation between Feynman and Fred Hoyle. Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted. Ralph Waldo Emerson

Saint Billinge Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 The seven dwarfs of Auschwitz was both emotional and shocking. Music was their eventual passport to freedom!.

Wolford6 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Not strictly TV but Barry Simmons (from Eggheads) is this year's Brain of Britain. Congratulations Barry!. Big up for the Airedale Quiz League. Under Scrutiny by the Right-On Thought Police
Futtocks Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 (edited) The two-part Bombay Railways documentary on BBC4 was excellent. Very good - obviously their (also very good) series about the Indian Hill Railways was well enough received for them to do more in that vein. Bedford Roughyed Posted April 5, 2013 Author Posted April 5, 2013 Just watched the first season of Breaking Bad. Everyone said it was good, and boy they were right. Bryan Cranston is great, showing what a good actor he is (previously only seen him in Malcolm in the Middle). With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!
hindle xiii Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I was rather disappointed by the ending to The Walking Dead, I've also two episodes of Revolution on record that I'm still not too fussed about watching!
Futtocks Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 One for folks of a certain age - the quite peculiar Eighties TV thriller 'Dead Head' is finally released on DVD. Starring Denis Lawson, Lindsey Duncan, Simon Callow and Norman Beaton, amongst others. Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted. John Drake Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Goes without saying that I think the new series of Doctor Who is very entertaining. Ice Warriors! (Yes, yes, fellow 'Who' nerds, I know this is actually the second half of series 7 and not really a 'new' series as such. ) I've restrained myself from starting a seperate thread about it, but this being the show's 50th anniversary year, you'd better brace yourselves for me getting a bit giddy about that round November time. Zygons!! .
Saint Billinge Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I still enjoy Coast. Last night's show featured some ladies from Cornwall knitting very unusual items whilst keeping themselves incognito by wearing fancy masks. They then dot their efforts around the area for whoever wants one.

Coast almost always has something interesting for the viewer to discover, but some of the presenters are trying far to hard to be 'characters'. bedlam breakout Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Coast almost always has something interesting for the viewer to discover, but some of the presenters are trying far to hard to be 'characters'. proper characters like "jonny morris" never had to put on a false over act like the presenters of today, they were just natrualy engaging. the inside of a 3star halex table tennis ball smells much like you'd expect it to.

l'angelo mysterioso Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Enjoying the wonderful Amanda Bullimore steal the show in Scott and Bailey and the sooner Carl gets his come uppance in the Street the better. Isn't it Amelia Bullimore not Amanda? but I agree her understated performances steal the show each week.
ckn Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Watched Defiance (the new sci-fi TV series, not the film) last night, looks very promising. Also, The Borgias has started again! "When in deadly danger, when beset by doubt; run in little circles, wave your arms and shout"

The plots are a bit better than average as well. WELCOME TO THE ROYSTON VASEY SUPER LEAGUE 2015 Keeping it local
