italy v wales world cup qualifier

Recommended Posts

What a fantastic win for Wales. John Kear deserves all the plaudits here. This guy is one hell of a motivator. Without Ben Flower and Rhys Williams too. Down 14-6 and dominated the second half. Fully deserved their place in the World Cup

I know my distance vision is horrendous but Im sure Rhys Williams was here...Rhys Evans probably wasn't ;-)

Yes sorry I meant Rhys Evans. Both will be sniffing around for the World Cup. Kear should keep them sweating as they didn't put their hands up for these qualifiers.

I love the idea of Putin showing up for the decisive World Cup qualifier and being escorted to the Des Drummond Suite for a pre-match pint of mild and fresh lobby.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Looks like Ireland and Wales win the prize of a WC game against PNG in Port Moresby!

They will never experience anything like that again in their lives.

And a word of advice for any travelling Welsh supporters - if the locals take a serious dislike to the referee it's safer to go for the vegetarian option at their post match barbie! Think about it .

Looking at the teams on paper, Wales should not have beaten that Italian lineup, which is a testament to all those involved with this fantastic victory. Well done Wales.

Yes this was a seriously weakened Wales team.  Again more credit to John Kear.

Ireland ahead 38-12 at half time against Russia. So it looks like Russia v Italy for the last place.

If there's a live streaming of this anywhere would someone keep us posted.

Well done Wales and Ireland see you down under for the biggy.

Had Wales on the Laptop and England on't telly good matches both but it won't stand an earthly against the rampant negativity, shame that!

Jesus, Oxford, give it a rest please. You make some kind of reference to negativity in almost every comment you post. You are becoming a negative caricature of yourself.

Can't help but respond to the stuff that's really depressing on here deluded, that is the way it is, I'm afraid.

There is positive stuff around but it is funny (odd) which threads they're on and which posters can be included.

And sometimes reading this forum you'd think there was nothing good about TGG at all! :D

Wales and Ireland will play matches in Port Moresby, Townsville and Perth in the 2017 World Cup, organisers have confirmed.

As positive and rapid as it gets this news.

Means the Perth game will be a double header England v France and Wales v Ireland. Exciting and hopefully ex-pat heaven.

Still buzzing from yesterday! What a win!

Now as a teacher, and new home owner! How do I plot a route down under next year?

Justify it with all the money you saved when Wales failed to qualify for the 2008 World Cup down under lol. That memorable crash and burn at that Widnes qualifier needs putting to bed.

I don't think many will be going to PNG. Although they may do day or overnight charters for supporters perhaps? From Queensland?

Possibly.

People do go trekking in PNG with tour groups quite a lot with only the occasional gang rape or machete attack so keep an eye out for options.

The only comfort being the culprits may be wearing an old Penfold's St George shirt or Queensland Crushers baseball cap.
