RIP Toots ūüėĒ

One of the all-time greats and, even in recent years, a fantastic live performer. Full of energy and brio, and still had that soulful voice. So glad I got to see him live, there are so many ska/rocksteady/reggae greats that I missed out on. RIP Toots

A beautiful, intelligent woman, who also had a wonderful sense of humour.

And Rugby League gets an early mention in these interviews she did with Michael Parkinson in the 1970s.

My wife has always reckoned Diana Rigg was a fantastic role model for a young girl growing up in that era.

Apart from being a member of the countryside alliance which loves ripping animals apart with dogs and shooting wildlife for fun.

I thought she was gorgeous, and a great actress and sad to hear she had passed.

Craig delete this if I overstepped the mark on the obituary thread

Funnily enough, I don't think my Mrs was aware of that side of Diana Rigg's character when she was eleven years old.

Same age as me. ūüėě

One of the best overseas players to play for my county - not just in talent, but in influence.

"I am the avenging angel; I come with wings unfurled, I come with claws extended from halfway round the world. I am the God Almighty, I am the howling wind. I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"

Legendary UK newspaper editor Harold Evans.

Brilliant journalist and editor of the Sunday Times. He exposed the Thalidomide scandal. He was shafted by Rupert Murdoch when he took over Times Newspapers.
