Oh my goodness that was immense, buttered crown of chicken, pork with garlic and truffle butter, roast and mashed potatoes carrots and peas.

Struggling to move now.

Did the usual dishing up at the local homeless centre at dinner time.

I find that apart from a hot meal and some clean new clothes lots of homeless people just really appreciate someone sitting and chatting with them

Sounds fabulous sir, and good on you for taking time out of your day for others too!

Now sitting with a nice glass of jamiesons and my feet up.

The wife and I do it every year and help out as best we can in various other ways.

Made the Roast Red pepper & tomato soup yesterday, just peeled spuds, snips & cleaned & trimmed sprouts, baked the bread to go with everything, flat smells lovely.

Stuffing balls to be cooked separately, in oven with pigs in blanket, spuds & snips, carrots 🥕 par boiled, then fried with cumin seeds, sprouts parboiled,  then finished, fried with pancetta.

Alcohol free Christmas 🎄

Note for future, oil the stuffing & pigs pan first.

Food went down well with my 13yo, even 50% sprouts!

Gin and tonic really does relieve the bloated feeling.

Well that went alright. Didn't mess the cooking up, pees didn't steam quite like I thought they would but managed to quickly save them by whacking them in a pan and boiling them up while I was serving up everything else.

There was one heated argument about the seating plan early in the day but after retreating to different rooms and sitting and taking a few deep breath there was some quick apologies and we got on like nothing had even happened.

Spent the rest of the day watching a couple of films and reading some books I got, pretty straight forward Christmas in the Goose household! Hope everyone else enjoyed themselves.

It’s been great. My kids think I’m the best dad ever because I managed to get an Xbox series X for them. Those things are hard to find in Australia.

Also went for a swim in the lake.

Walking rugby at my old union club. We're playing the first team under walking rugby rules.

It'll be socially distanced for sure.... I doubt I'll get within 2m of any of the big bug gers.🤣

I had the best crimbo in a long time. Best cards selection (last year I had 2 cards, this year 14), great presents, and an ex employer called round with a bottle of whisky.

Merry Christmas all, a good drink, a good scran and a good day, I hope everyone on here has had the same.

Certainly did and more to come today.

Bring it on.

Same here, an absolute quality day. It will be my eldest lads last one before he becomes a dad himself, so it's been a sort of landmark. Drinking with kids and arguing about snowflakes etc (but all in good fun)

Pub this afternoon and see what develops there. 😬
