A would say 600 - 800 Havens fans be there Sunday.

Fetching your average home gate through, yeh OK, hope you are right, making up for the Townies giving it a miss .

4 overseas players compared to none could easily account for most of that given the minimum that overseas players have to be paid is about £22k each.

Overseas players are on nowhere near that amount

Hope you are wrong about TOWNIES staying away when it is clear we need the revenue from our last home game. The board tried to attract support to the last game but we only had 751 plus a few tickets bought by people who could not attend

We need those 700 at least to go to what is a Derby, accept the derision from Haven fans and encourage the team. The confidence going into the close season will be very dependent on how the players  staff  volunteers and supporters react to this game.

Not sure on the financial position of each club at this point in time but it has been stated previously that Town had a budget of £220k for the season whilst haven had a budget of £156k.  I believe this was supposed to cover players and coaches thus Town may have spent more on the coaching side with a full time coach.

Frustrating to still be none the wiser to what the shortfall actually is? Does the nearly £10k raised by the funding page even touch the sides? Or does it plug the gap?

The fans who turned up for the Dewsbury game would have probably done so without the discount. Only the diehards will be there on Sunday, we need to get behind our boys like it's our last game ever.

I think we should stop the discounts - if only the diehards are turning up, they will at full price?

This has been going on for a couple of seasons now and i have never taken a discount yet.

The only time i went and got a ticket early was when covid had just finished and numbers were limited.

Most (if not all) of Havens overseas players have British Passports so can get a work permit without having to be on the 22k a year that the Overseas players have to be paid. I know last season a few were on part time rugby contracts but working full time for local companies.

The club have secured good paid jobs for the over sea players and will be a part of the contracts, all clubs do it, but Whitehaven seem to have good contacts to secure the players these jobs, but both clubs will heavily  rely on the diferent draws ran by the supporter groups to help fund new players comming in ect, it's what has been done for years,

Bishop looked class until his injury.

So Town have had 64K more in their budget than Haven  who over the season have signed more players. Town in danger of going bust. Must mean Haven have only survived financially with 100K or thereabouts from sponsor, probably LEL?

Next year BOTH clubs will be struggling . That is why both groups of supporters need to get to next Town match in a show of solidarity to keep RL alive in west Cumbria!

And Curtis Davies would have made a big difference to you but the Messiah didn’t rate him.

We let the Davies brothers go as it cost to much to keep them. Club have tried to save money + we already have 2 good hookers in Simmons and Henson

But play one at 6? Has that move paid off and could be used next year if they stay? Or would Doran be better back at 6 if he stays (I think he will)?
