Which is your club Ginger, just out of interest.

London Broncos (blame Steele Retchless), although now, by distance and time, reduced to vanishingly few in-person matches.

Hell of a lot achieved since promotion less than 4 weeks ago imo Will it be a success- we will find out as the season unravels but the vast majority of fans are now behind it but hoping the original Cherry n Whites can be retained in the home shirt

Have you got signage on the list 😉 ? Leigh Sports Village (Spots Village as it will soon be known) has Centurions signs up all over the place. All the signs as you drive into Leigh say Home of Leigh Centurions

Would have to take that up with the council. Their approach to the "Home of Super League Rugby" signs suggest that they'll wait for a rebrand back to Centurions for it to be right. Like living with the clock in the car being an hour out for half of every year.

I think they’re doing the right things at the right time. The announcement may have been a bit premature, but surely it was just to take advantage of the current media interest in the sport?

I think it’s a better brand than The Centurions, and they’ll be riding off the wave of interest from a successful season and promotion. Better to do this on the way up rather than on the way down!

This is easily fixed. You rename the amateur team from Leigh East to Centurions, then paint an arrow on the Sports village signs that points in the general direction of the Leigh East club. No one will know it’s anything other than a handy sign for lost drivers.

Except he's not changed it. There'll be a few different variations of that badge that will then be chosen from.

With all due respect, that is absolutely ridiculous.

Has the club never heard of brand guidelines? Because they are currently all over the place with it. Different fonts (none central), different eyes on the 'Leopard' (which is a Jaguar), a red gradient on the chin (which is very unkind to digital vectors and embroidery)...

It's a mess.

I've already criticised the quality of the work numerous times. All I said was, he's not changed the badge, in response to the comment "he's changed it again". Am guessing that there'll be other versions that he tweets out with no context over the course of the next week or so, and then a final one will be chosen.

So his big press launch last week was just market research then?

😅

Why does it bother you so much Gav?

It's quite obviously just an attempt to show how versatile the badge is (in his eyes) and to placate fans by adding red. The trouble is adding the red to that design by changing the spots just doesn't work on any level.

Can’t speak for Gav but it bothers me because they are a team in the top tier of our sport and they should be acting professionally.

Nay Chris we are just an upstart, a little village in Wigan, we should really know our place and stop this pretence that we are something we are clearly not.

The badge isn't a jaguar, it's the stock image used on the front of the shirt that is a jaguar.

A red gradient actually makes it a complete nightmare for kit manufacturers.
