It was all so long ago so apologies for omissions and errors, Mick Gledhill was at one, Old  Frightful, possibly Padge,  Hullgal, Maggie (real first name) , Paley,  Tony XIII if I recall correctly, George (real name) and many and various others...even some of the St Helens persuasion.

BD92 and his collection of Saints fans, Lee from Huddersfield now married to Maggie, they met at one of the meets. DazaXIII from the Midlands.

One meet up was for Chorley v Locomotive Moscow at Chorley, Lee had bought a Golden Gamble ticket and his number got called out, he didn't know how much it was but we convinced him he had won £1,000, it was really only about £50, he shot off to go and claim his prize in quick time, he stomped back muttering b@$t@rd$, not sure who it was aimed at us or Chorley.

I don't know how you've managed to meet each other and was about to suggest a TRLers Tshirt to help sort this out but it seems only two of us need one.

I've got a TRL Rugby shirt*

I've met Gingerjon, JohnM, Yorkshire Pie, Bob8, Number16, Johnoco, James Vukmirovic and Matt Santos.

Edit, *well, TRL related. Who remembers the Mighty Penguins?

I still have the shirt, well my wardrobe does, if I wore it the years of shrinkage it has suffered would cause some damage to this precious item.

We did, for a few seasons, arrange a meet-up in a Central London pub for the Friday game. Usually in the West End, so an uncomfortably rammed pub would suddenly become more bearable as the pre-theatre drinkers headed off for 8pm curtain-up.

TRL (former?) member Lobbygobbler was usually the one to find out where the match would be on, so many thanks are due to him doing the checking and making calls when necessary.

Quite a few of those regulars weren't forum members (or didn't want to admit to it). Then my place of work relocated, so I couldn't make it there as often as possible.

For me officially one, Phil. Saw his band play in Halifax. Funny though he talked to me in the 3 Pigeons before the Monday league match and I didn't cotton on it was me and he didn't recognise me. Weirdly I've stood next to Hindle xii at a Bulls Leeds game. We didn't talk and he didn't recognise me.

nb. I am serious mind. Hindle and I were friends on fb in the early days.

Apologies, if it helps.

Apart from the  ones above that have forgot me (bastards), I will recall a few names from the past. Giant Hogweed, Riversiderontour, ucantbuyteamspirit, L'angelo mysterio, Helen from leeds (wigan fan but can't remember her handle, like dan from gloucester). Also the Irish lad that flew over for the Aintree charity golf event.

I met thi good self not that long ago after having not seen you for years. In the way distant past took you on a cultural tour of WIgan, some may call it a pub crawl.

To add to the list there is Paley and Zoe the former item dissasembled. Jonty, L'Angelo Mysterio, Hullgal who married, ??? name escapes me, a relationship fostered through these pages.

The late Ray Gent and Tim Wilkinson, spent a lot of time in Ray's company and contributed to their Rugby League in it's Own Words book.

Ah yes, Helen and Dan, a few others from Gloucester/Bristol as well.

John Drake and Martyn Sadler.

Native New Yorker, though to be honest we go to Wigan games together.

Mick Dyer who's handle escapes me.

The long, long disappeared Sadfish who decided to stick to ranting on RLFans

A lot of people have met a lot of people on here over the years.

Before Paley went down the wormhole of obsession and mania, he was a decent guy to have a pint with.

And who was the very large London Broncos fan who used to have "Satan" on the back of his shirt?

Apologies. I forgot all about the 🔨🔨🔨🔨

...and the Aintree golf, which I attended but skilfully avoided.

The lad from Ireland, Justin, I think, involved in rugby union in Ireland.

..and Walter from Australia...

RP London, Bearman, JonM who still post regularly.

Bob8, Marauder as well. Maybe others I can't remember.

I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown.
