Just been having a look at some photos of the Swinton v Batley game, Ellis is on a couple, he looks as fit as me and I can only walk a few yards, don't know why we have kept him to be honest

Whoever signed him should be sent to be director of rugby at Fev.

I thought he was a forward for the first ten mins watching us at weekend as he just had 36 on his back, its only when someone said Ellis has put on a few pounds I realised who it was! Mind you he played behind a pack that got bullied and overrun so we couldnt really see what impact he had on the game for us

In today's League Express he's got the Gamestar award after they won at Widnes yesterday! Funny old game!

Jamie Ellis is on loan at Swinton Lions. He was Man of the Match in their win at Widnes on Sunday.

Swinton are level with the Knights on points and obvious relegation rivals. Can anyone explain the sense of allowing a Knights registered player to help a rival club relegate his parent club?

Ironic really that last season at Whitehaven, Ellis was kicking goals from all over the pitch and into a gale force wind. When he went to Swinton, I don't imagine for one minute, anybody at the Knights thought we would be where we are in the league now, let's just hope we have enough in the tank to grab a couple of wins from somewhere.

File it next to can we have a proper update on injured players, will attendances be announced, and has anyone heard from our owner (last seen expressing interest in buying York City).

Surely able to recall him back whenever you want?

Theres normally a clause where a player can't play against their parent club, I would just bring him back, end of.

Excellent question, would be nice to get an answer from the club.

Maybe Sharon (Radio York) could ask Hendo the question when she previews Sunday's game with Halifax.

Bring him back so he can't help them win 🤣

I'd rather she asked Clint what was happening to the club.

More and more supporters are asking this now. If he hasn't picked up on thus now I don't think he ever will

There's none as blind as those that don't want to see.

He is in the club shop every day , go and talk to him , I have on a couple of occasions.

Jon Flatman was a one off , people run clubs in different ways.

Hope it isn’t because of injuries, it might be tactical as Ellis has been Swintons’ playmaker the last couple of weeks and they are getting a bit too close for comfort in the table.

Oldham fans on their forum are saying they have a "halfback incoming" - If it's been decided that Ellis helping Swinton win could damage York, then maybe he is being sent out to Oldham in L1 instead.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ellis plays for us this week. There is no point risking key players who are carrying niggling injuries with the 1895 semi final only a week away, and it seems to me that is where the priorities lie at the moment.

Think the priority is this weekend's game against Sheffield and getting 2points then worry about the 1895 semi final the week after.

I agree, but I'm not sure those at the club do when I've spoken to them. Since we qualified for the 1895 Cup, it seems too me everything is geared to getting to Wembley. It'll be more nteresting to see who doesn't play this week than who does.

Hope we do play Ellis , as when fit is still one of our top halfbacks .
