Featherstone / Mark Campbell (Many Merged Threads)

Not having been to Fev in donkey's years, I don't know how big the problem is but I'm surprised if there are no stewards who could escort these low lifes from the ground. If they really are locals then surely someone will know their names so that further action can be taken against them.

Can't help feeling Fev fans are getting a raw deal here. I know quite a few people from Fev, both personally and in a work capacity and they are all very decent people.

Every club has it's idiots, I've seen them from every club over time.

Not every club, but I some clubs there are a vocal minority who think it's ok to verbally abuse other fans/players/staff as there is little in place to stop them.

Not just the fans, the Swinton players gave the duty Doctor a lot of really nasty abuse last Saturday, something I hope will be reported to the RFL, but I doubt anything will come from it. The players should at least be setting an example. And the RFL should be making an example of players/fans to send a message.

Every club has idiots yes, and isolated incidents occur everywhere, but I don't think you can call the incidents with Fev isolated anymore, there have been reports from several different visiting teams now - hopefully they are addressing them all seriously.  If they don't nip this in the bud, I can only see them getting worse if they get up to SL as more and more "hangers on" get attracted

Of course the club are taking it seriously do you think they don't think the same as you ? Several visiting teams ? Would you care to name all the teams who have had incidents ?

There are some incidents discussed in this thread, unsure if they overlap with the following

I’m sure incidents like the ones concerned are taken seriously by the club and they’d be foolish to do anything else. So yeah, I agree with the gist of what you say.
I’m just pointing out that in my experience the people of Fev are mostly decent people, and it seemed like they were all being portrayed as almost supportive of this behaviour.
I hope they do clamp down on it.

Can't be Featherstone fans again, they're all likeable funny types who wear flat caps but aren't really hispters.

No, it must be football fans again.

😛

Time you grew up and stopped being childish about Featherstone, what's up have you got tired of slating Fax and Bulls ?

It's pretty hard to nip summat in the bud that's been going on years.

It has to be peer pressure. If the "good" fans stand up to the idiots it would be a start, call out the behaviour where you see it. Rather like calling out the cowards that are the bullies, once they don't have an acceptable platform to perform on, they will move on to something else.
