Same here, my Sky Q box is via satellite dish, but is also connected via cable to back of BT broadband router. If your box has youtube, I player, and other apps then skysports app appeared today.

So should that fella be looking in the app section of his tv guide on Sky, like I have to with EETV.

Ive got the main feed on my sport tv section and then if I go to the Now icon in the Apps section I can potentially get access to all the other Sky Sports + streams when they start showing the events.

I am away in the caravan with no internet, however I have the sky q box and dish which is showing channel 412, SS+ with no problems.

Might be a subscription issue I guess then from what you say.

For today's match yes, it's on linear 412, but I doubt you could stream stuff from a caravan with no Internet, except on a mobile phone or tablet. Tomorrow's games are streaming only, so you'll need Internet connection.

That's ok for me as I will just get the wifi set up tomorrow, but I was just pointing out to previous posters that there should be no problem with seeing the game tonight with a normal sky sports subscription already in place.

Same with me. I don't have the full sports package as only watch RL. Action and Arena were the only channels I needed. Feel like we've been sold a right dummy by Sky and SL

Ditto i only have those Sports Channels as well

I think you will need the full sports package to view the extra games, otherwise it's the two games chosen by sky only, same as last year really.

Sky gave the impression that all Sky Sports subscribers would have access to SS+. The small print proves otherwise. I'm beggared if I'm paying another £35 a month to them.

Im with you Treize they have had enough out of me over the Years feel as im being penalised for loyalty might cancel all together

Feel the same way. As they have changed your package I understand that you have the right to cancel. It'll be Watch NRL from now on for me. Far better and so much cheaper

An example of the weird scheduling is tomorrow night.

Sky have 9 linear channels.

2 of these are showing the same game of  live football.

1 is showing The Hundred.

1 is showing live golf.

1 is showing another game of football.

Despite there being two SL games, these are not on a channel and on red button. There is no live sport on Action or Mix.

Sky Sports+ linear channels gives a red button option which then loads the app.

Will be interesting to see how far behind the streams run compared to betting websites, score update apps and social media. Although it’s nailed on to be WAY behind compared to live TV coverage.

Just feels like a huge step backwards on all fronts. And that’s before I even start on the effect it’s had already on EFL fixture scheduling.

First impressions are that the UX is OK, so many of these are just atrocious. Even Netflix, Prime, Disney etc are really poor and not intuitive for some really basic things. And ITVX can be absolutely appalling.

I get the technology is there and it can be a good solution, but it does rather feel like the customers haven't been put at the centre of this.

My TV isn't connected to the internet at present so, should the red button be internet-based, I'll be back to just the two games a week.

It seems like a step back all around.

How long after screening in Sky plus (as the match not on the Sky plus initially but one you choose once there)..before the game can be streamed in total?

I.e. if it's a 3pm game and I can't tape it but I can wait until it is streamable...how long do we wait?

As has been said - Sky's scheduling is *really* really odd and has been for a while, especially so given that they now have virtually zero magazine content. The channels not showing live sport will be showing weird repeats or compilations.

The RL on TV did a good point about how a lot of this is to combat illegal streaming which makes a kind of broadcaster sense. It just doesn't really make it a better experience for the consumer.

The games are still being shown on TV in Oz so the illegal streaming issue will still be there as they’ll just pick up that feed as well (yes I’ve cheated and picked up on a later RL on TV tweet)

Once the quality (and, most importantly in my case, the time delay) on Sky matches the illegal streams then I’m sure I won’t the only one asking questions as to why I’m even paying my Sky bill.

Being able to discuss the game ‘live’ when at the ground with mates watching on TV or vice versa has been great this season but it feels like those days are very much numbered. Back in the lockdown days I was fortunate to witness a few of the games that were behind closed doors and the ouRLeague stream was often a good 2 minutes behind real time.

That's completely fair.

Going on reaction times on social media, it feels like Discovery Plus is the closest to staying live (obviously with a lag but not so much) but the others are pretty poor.

Tape it? If the match is for streaming only, such as the two tonight,  and starts at 8pm, and you go to skysports plus at 8.30 for example,  first you'll see the EFL game being  shown,  so press red button to select app, then select SL game, and you should be able to select " watch from start."

Also , some have said they've been sold a dummy by Sky and its unfair, but tbf Sky have said that this is available to those with the FULL sports package only. Basically that means those that pay for the football,  because without the new EFL/Sky deal there would be no skysports plus. This new channel allows them to screen concurrent SL games, Golf tournaments,  tennis tournaments etc,  but it's purpose is to screen multi EFL games, produced by the same IMG re- imagining RL. Let's see how they do!

So....I have full SKY

Can I come in at 11pm  tonight and watch the Huddy game from the start by streaming?

I.e . Can I still stream from the start of the game has finished?

Remember Sky's slogan from not to long ago Dave "We never stop thinking about Rugby League". !

@Bedfordshire BroncoMy guess is yes or they'd be little point in having the app. They may be available for a limited time ,a day or two, only time will tell.

To access the app , after the match is over and there's no live game, football or whatever on, and therefore no red button to press, just press home button on remote and scroll to Apps, scroll right to skysports app and select.
