If true this doesn't look like good business for us. We stand to lose a lad whose been good for us but get Namo in return, the fact the Tigers are happy to release him from their quota roster shows what they think of him.

Can anyone tell me when I mentioned this last week about rumours of Connor going to Cas that my post was taken down?

I have excellent sources and never post unfounded rumours, it was hardly inflammatory either. Isn't the Featherstone Rovers Rugby Forum about discussing Rugby issues?

Disgraceful. I've been a member since 06. That's me done now on here.

I hope the 3 remaining people enjoy the rest of the season.

Having watched most of Cas matches this season and the quality of their forwards and performance  in contrast to our current group of playets ,this must surely be a release clause in Connors contract. Why else would we want him   ?But good luck to Connor hope he goes well

It has been rumoured for a while that Fev were wanting to offload players on higher contracts.Connor would be one of those. If he goes to Cas and gets more money good luck to him,but that will be me done attending games.

I agree this is not the best deal for fev supporters , Conner is a good player and has genuine pace and always gives 100% . When injured payers are back do we really need more forwards . But I’ve never know Fev stand in the way of players Conner is super league material and he should be allowed to play there it’s his short career. If it happens good luck Conner . And welcome nano . Plus there was a rumour Conner was going to hull kr ?

Do you mean your post on April 13th on page 32 of the thread below? It's still there, as are several posts just above it, which had already discussed the rumour about Wynne going to Castleford.

Dont cut yer nose off to spite yer face lol. I feel like you in the dissapointment of Wynne leaving but players and coaches come and go but it's us supporters who stay. We've lost players for donkey's year but we've also taken players from other clubs.

I’m pretty sure the club announced something at the beginning of the season about needing an average gate, of 3600, might well have my numbers wrong, maybe higher, to cover the costs of the recruitment. Quelle surprise that hasn’t been achieved, so now they’re having to offload costs. I run a large public sector organisation, if I ran it in that way I’d be relieved of my duties rather quickly!!

It was circa 3.5k to get up to the next level in IMG scoring for attendances iirc. I've not seen any mention linked to finances, just to what is needed to get a step nearer SL.

Fair enough they have to aspire to that figure. Difficult for the club as it’s the chicken and egg conundrum….more people will watch a winning team but how do you finance a winning team. Certainly in recent years when the club has played in so called bigger games, super league opposition in a cup etc I’ve seen people at games who I haven’t seen for years…so the floaters are still out there.

Let your better players go because the playing budget is reduced performances on the field will fall and spectator numbers will level out to about 1600.Paddy has a 33% stake but i have heard that Mark Campbell is still heavily involved with the club.

Cas have announced that Sylvester Namo has left

We probably know what's coming next 😔

Clearly no one’s wants Connor to leave, he’s been class for us. However, I’d say that the pack is a real position of need, and Namo, will offer some power and strength in depth.

Talking to s Cas supporter today and he said that Namo was one of the smallest props he had seen.  He was arround 15 stones and very short on height. Let us keep Wynne.

Typically built PNG forward from what I've seen of him, bit of a penalty magnet and didn't break any pots at cas !

He’s listed as being 6ft and over 17 stone.

I think he might have been measured by the same PNG doctor who decided Stanley Gene's official age.

As long as he doesn't get fitness tested by Trump's physician...
