The crowd is 'counted' by tickets sold, so that will be the figure given - whether they (as in the case of some season ticket holders) all turned up or not doesn't affect this.

Actually, if we're discussing counting thc crowd, I'd question the 17,300+ that Sky had on their caption for the game the Galpharm. We could only see three stands on TV, but even if the one containing the camera was chokka, there were never anything remotely like 17k there.

That's surprised me Bulliac, thank you. Is this the way it's done throughout SL, counting people who aren't actually there?

To the best of my knowledge this is standard practice, not just in SL, but in sport in general; soccer, league, union etc. When I was first told this (by someone who worked, back office, for a league soccer club) I was surprised as well, but it has been confirmed by others (who I believe are in a position to know) in RL.

For what it's worth I'd guess that the difference is usually small enough to be negligible, after all you would expect people who have bought a ticket to be there, though in cases like the Bulls where season tickets are relatively cheap, it is certainly possible that a greater number of supporters may have bought tickets, knowing that they wouldn't be able to attend every game.

Talking about advertising on the side of vehicles, check where they put this woman's image in relation to the two rear wheels. :D

I've waited to see one ever since the announcement and haven't.....until late Monday night. We were traveling south, just outside Glasgow, I saw 2 Stobart SL lorries within the space of 2 miles, both south bound. It was dark but I think one was Hull and the other was Leeds.

Saw 3 on the A1 on Friday - Hudds,Widnes? and Catalans. Saw Wigan on the A1 today

It's weird, the last 2 times I've driven up to Leeds, I've seen 3. The furthest South I've seen one is Hudds on Friday outside Biggleswade (South Bedfordshire)

Leeds - A14 Market harborough

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Bradford in Hull today my first

Had it broken down and the driver was in the middle of the road asking everyone else to donate 10ml of petrol?

(Are we even doing these dodgy metaphors any more?)
