That England performance was an embarrassment, I don't know if I was watching a football match or a bloody Carry on film.

Serves yourself right for giving it the time of day especially when alba is showing the Falkirk v Dundee United cup tie

Everton get docked 10 points for breaching the EPL’s profit and sustainability rules during the 2021/22 season.

Apparently, the ruling Commission declined to follow the Leagues proposal of starting at a 6 point deduction and adding one point for every £5m over the loss limit.  Meaning Everton could have been docked 60 points.

Manchester City are now terrified that the Commission may indeed chose to follow the Leagues proposal when addressing their 115 financial discretions and they may end up playing in Moss Side Saturday League. Imagine Haaland getting changed in the back of a pub. 😄😄😄

Wasn’t it 12 pts the premier league wanted Everton docking not 60.

I wanted to watch the snooker but the Goose family overruled me and stuck England on.

Gave the England game a miss, unusual for me, but with having Viaplay there was other interesting games on. Watched Denmark v Slovenia and recorded Italy v Nth Macedonia. Monday I'll watch Italy v Ukraine winner takes all.

Anyone with Viaplay,  for the RL of course,  can watch meaningful games, Armenia  v Wales  this afternoon,  Israel v Romania tonight, Hungary v Montenegro  or Serbia v Bulgaria Sunday afternoon, and of course Wales v Turkey Tuesday.

Had a little wander up to Carlisle yesterday to witness the start of the new ownership, the American Piatek family, not the most inspiring 1-1 draw but a crowd of 10,500 and an extremely busy fanzone ,the yanks with their 'own the north' tagline may just be about to start something for the county

Great comeback for the England lionesses tonight, really happy because im off to Hampden on Tuesday, cant wait a few drinks in Glasgow city centre and match to follow

I know someone who was a photographer there last night. They were behind the goal which saw all five and are pretty happy today.

Sounded like a great atmosphere by the end - having been understandably flat in the first half.

Different sort of atmosphere at the womens international's probably due to how its promoted as being ultra family friendly so have to restrain yourself a bit, although had a brilliant afternoon in the box park before the Brazil game with a new breed of supporter so things are changing.

A note for the rugby league though about pricing and promotion, ive paid £12  full adult price for Hampden Tuesday (concessions are £6) combined with the Carlisle to Glasgow bargain train prices its a win win for me especially now there is still something to play for

An unexpected band of fog covered part of Sussex this afternoon - deceptively quickly moving given how thick it was.

One outcome was Eastbourne Borough's game was abandoned after kick off.

Their visitors, Taunton, will have to make the eight hour round trip some other time.

Scotland to open Euro 2024 with game against Germany,  Hungary and Switzerland the other teams in their group.

Wales if they qualify have tough group with Netherlands and France.

Spain and Croatia the unlucky top two seeds having got Italy from pot 4 in their group. Albania unluckily in this group too,  a group of death,  there's always one.

England should be wary of Mitrovic and Højland for Serbia and Denmark respectively, but otherwise no problem ....until we meet a top team.

Group E looks one to avoid watching,  Belgium Slovakia Romania and probably Ukraine or even Iceland depending on play offs, doesn't look too tempting.

Interested to see who qualifies from play off path C , to join Portugal Turkiye and Czechia in Group F, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg or Greece. Nothing against Greece but any of the other three would be nice to see in a finals.

Sky have mopped up 80% of the live football for 2025-2029 according to their press release.

TNT have 52 games.

At least 215 live games per season.

£6.7billion ...is pretty amazing in this age of TV deals getting squeezed.

Best news is NO AMAZON...fantastic,  this week's midweek games are on amazon ,and on Boxing day, up to 2024/25 season then no more, hallelujah.

It shows just how much of 'sport' in the UK really is just Premier League and how important that is to subscribers.

Sky's strategy is brutal but effective.
