I wonder how the loyal shoppers of tesco's who paid the full price for their mushy peas will feel now that tesco are offering a buy 1 get 1 free deal on their mushy peas??

The tomato section will be opened once the peas and carrots have sold out.

Very nicely done, both of you

Any business which allows someone phoning them with £150-£200 (OP states they were looking at 8-10 tickets) that they are ready to hand over and allows them to hang up without taking a penny off them has serious problems.

I sometimes feel sorry for the RFL because there's just no pleasing RL fans but this is basic business. If someone comes with money in their hand that they want to give you then take it!

Don't see that, I'm afraid. That approach has seen many businesses go under. Income £1, expenditure 99p: result profit. Income 99p, expenditure £1: result bankruptcy.

Wow there's a lot to read here and it looks like its self perpetuating and not coming to a conclusion - can I ask a question?

Is it be better to put every seat for sale on the day a game is announced and let fans choose where to buy or is it better to have people buy tickets so the game looks good on telly and when thats sorted then make other areas available? Assuming telly money is just as important as fans in the stadium

And re the newzealand tickets was that sold differently to this time?

There's obviously a difference of opinion on which strategy is best. The New Zealand game was sold the same way as this one is being sold.

I've just heard an advert on a local radio station advertising the NZ game at Huddersfield. At least it's something.

Then it dawned on me, I'll be in London that weekend. D'oh.

More RFL incompetence. Fancy organising a 4 Nations match at Huddersfield when Johnoco is in London. You couldn't make it up.

I have just been somewhat shocked to see an advert for the England vs Australia game in Euston Tube Station! This would appear to be some sort of marketing ........ not sure how widespread this is, but positive step!
