Good effort from Wigan after a shaky start . Could have folded but came back strong and made a real contest . But Roosters just a bit more and bit sharper all round , took enough chances and defended solidly . Deserved win overall , quality team who’ll take some stopping again .

With Tupou in that's game over.

Sydney just a bit too good but I thought Wigan showed bags of heart and I loved watching them run the Roosters around from 20 to 60 minutes, they showed plenty of endeavor.

On the players, O'loughlin was outstanding and Greenwood and Bullock were very good. Morris obviously for the Roosters as well as the front row setting the scene in the first 20. The only disappointment was Tedesco who wasn't at his best.

Good game to watch.

A win for the better side on the night. Well deserved. No disgrace anywhere really.

And hopefully the scoreline is narrow enough to spoil Oliver Clothesoff's vinegar strokes.

Thought he made amends a bit in the second half; certainly nowhere near as bad as the first.
