How many Irish RL fans do you think they'd draw in the lower reaches of SL ? Think someone else pointed out that your one word , passive agressive questions are a tedious borefest and contribute nothing to the discussion, so I am going to mute you after this. There's already a stadium in Dublin that needs work and would be the right size. Tolka Park would need to be brought up to 6k but would be perfect. They arent selling their soul if someone invested as right now Irish rl is worthless and will be without investment. If they take money out it is because they made money. How many fans? Enough to be viable.

The problem is, what it's currently being mooted for is to prop up clubs that have been mismanaged and that's what I'm against. Invest the money in new areas like London, Wales, Birmingham But PE money has to be paid back. Do you think that’s wise, giving it to Bradford? Do you think it’s wise giving it to London who’ve gone 2 steps forward and three back. ’If’, London could settle in a new ground and continue to build from their grassroots, then just through community businesses, they will grow. Let’s be fair, if London can’t find money from businesses in the Capital, they shouldn’t really be considering expensive PE arrangements.

steve oates
5 hours ago, The Daddy said: A project that would bring strategic value is the purchase and redevelopment of New River Stadium home of the London Skolars. RL needs a London home and it needs a strong London club, it needs a greater presence in London, it needs London derbies. I would also propose that PE funding be used to fund not only the development of the stadium but the Skolars club itself.............. There will be an argument around how much funding would be made available and whether it would be enough, my thought is that anything less than being granted 200 million isn't worth the hassle This is a joke isn't it? You think Private Equity is free money don't you? To take £200Million of investors money to redevelop New River Stadium and invest in better teams for Broncos and Skolars means that you then have to generate an extra £200M plus say 20% to give the Private Investors a return. How is a revamped stadium and say London Skolars playing in the Championship, so every year there are two London derbies going to generate that money. These clubs are on small very gates because these clubs are in the south and not in Superleague, Skolars only have 400 fans and already have a grandstand so they can sit down if they want. It's nonsense and PE investors are not going to take such a silly risk. They only invest in sure fire projects where high returns are likely when those proposing the projects actually have a good business case for significant returns. There are no "significant returns" in Rugby League, the more the directors of clubs put in the more they lose. Your talking nonsesne

I don't mind fantasy RL too much, we can all dream, but to seriously try to say such dreams will be funded by private equity organisations is total nonsense on Total RL. Doesn't he get it that all the private monies Directors already privately put into their clubs don't return any profit at all, but indeed run up paid for losses........ 1

PE money has to be paid back with interest, that's how you get it in the first place as you understand. Bradford put 10K through the gate in the current stadium for their cup tie with Leeds in recent years. They put 20K for the same fixtures through the gate when they were top of SL. Stadium redevelopments alone won't attract £££Millions more income to cover the PE loan and interest and Bradford could not guarantee investors the success of the early 2000's either. When they did have that success they were losing money so the model is there. PE would be a big fat loss and heavy debts for the club

Most fellow Bulls fans that I know are realistic about how the club will never really move forward with the millstone of Odsal around our necks. A franchise is different as any club could apply to be a franchise. All applicants could then recieve an offer of a franchise in different locations. Its the only way it would work. I dont agree with it.
