Well the BBC didn't run a story on any of the RL new years honours so not sure why they would post a story about a little known, average, former RL player from Australia.

The Guardian only has him down as a player, not a star in either code:

If he was still in the NRL, or indeed had joined SL, I suspect he would be labelled a star by the media.

Now that he has been arrested, I think we can all agree that he is a Rugby Union player.

Absolutely. My report has him as a total clean skin until he defected to RU. Poor guy has just been led astray by hanging around the wrong people 😂
