Okay, off to the CCF thread now. See (some of) you there!

Enjoyed that game. Both sides gave their all.

No doubt Fev have really pushed the boat out financially this season. Not sure how much this side has cost to build, but they have definitely wasted money on Ferres and Briscoe

And Jon Ford, it was not his type if game in that the opposition didn't stand off and let him play.

Ipape seems to have developed in to very good player indeed

Have you been tracking his development or have you literally just watched him for the first time?

Leigh turned on the gas second half and have some pack. If they had 2 realld decent half backs they would be some team.

Its a Marathon, not a sprint and Fev are a fine side. It was our day.

Would love both sides to go up and forget the limit to overseas players as good ones are available in abundance to fill the gaps. Let's get the game to how it used to be.

Well done both sides.

I think that’s unfair mate. He’s a half back who hasn’t played for 9 months getting thrown into a lost cause against a team on the back foot. There’s nothing he could have done there.

Leigh by about 12.  I think they'll win in the last quarter.  From everything I've seen this year they're bigger, faster and fitter than us.

It wasn't the last quarter David, but you called it correctly in your last sentance.

I am just going of past expierence of watching him in games that are physical Tex, on the contrary he has played in 9 months he played last week and watching the highlights he seemed quite influential, then again he didn't have to look where the defence was coming from obviously Mr McDermott thought he would help by throwing him in.

Ipape had a great game, leigh made hard work of that and never seemed to get out of second gear. Featherstone struggled to break leigh down without the risky off the cuff play.

Game was won in the forwards for me Kai oDonnell doesn’t half make an impact for a small forward and get us on the front foot. Leilua very disapointing.

Well done Leigh, better team on the day, Ipape outstanding and changed the game when he came on.

Fev had a dig and we did look very dangerous when we threw the ball about, but lack of composure killed us when we did make those clean breaks and we didn't have enough good ball compared to Leigh.

Kheirallah was terrific but very worrying to see him having to be carried off after the final whistle.

23 is quite old for a lot of NRL player's making their onset in that life.

with due respect HS I think most players develop differently and at different stages according to their environments, confidence, coaching and fitness

I thought Leigh looked pretty dominant and although Fev did have a dig, Leigh made a lot of silly errors and their discipline was pretty poor at times. Ive said numerous times over the last year that the thing that stands out when you are playing Fev is the physical prescence they have on the field and size wise they dominate their opponents a lot of the time but today it stood out that Leigh just had that extra size and power all over the field. My impression at the moment is that Fev really need to hope that Leigh have an off day when it comes to the final either that or as I have mentioned before hope contract talks at Leigh can cause some unrest later in the season.

He came on late in a 78-0 win. Jones was suspended otherwise I don’t think he would have played. It took Jacks around 6-8 games to get up to speed. Fev didn’t lose because of ford, they lost because Leigh are significantly stronger, so strong that Ben reynolds looked good

For the Leigh fans, is this team better that last season’s? It seems so. I’d back this Leigh squad to finish top 8 in SL.

They wouldn’t be able to play this team in Superleague.

Those Leigh forwards are impressive and dominated today. It is them that made the Leigh half backs look good. I thought that Fev's backs are dangerous but when your forwards are getting steam rollered they have no platform.

Spot on. It was the sensible person’s assessment before the game that Leigh would roll Fev in the middle. It happened.
