The playing style, chopping and changing the team all the time, too many old players, no communication with the fan's, his way or no way when everyone else can see what was wrong. Good riddance 👏.

Interesting all the hate to McDermott.  Hes copping plenty for signings hes made yet theres no ill feeling toward the bloke that signed him. Campbell seems to be getting away scott free.  Double standards??

No, many of us were far from happy with his signing, but he’s turned a team with plenty of spirit, playing flowing rugby into what was on show yesterday.  We were far better in the first few games than at any time in the rest of the season.

He failed to get the most expensive squad in our history to the final.

His brand of Rugby was boring and our defence resembled a wet paper bag on far too many occasions.

He lost the dressing room in April.

So is the bloke that brought in that coach in at fault?  He got the appointment very very wrong.

Quite possibly. Whether it was Campbell, Vickers or both someone let him stay way beyond the point of no return.

I only ask because when big Nige appointed Dunning and we were playing terrible Nige got tons of stick for appointing the wrong guy.  Just seems at Fev that Mac is is the one copping it all not Campbell.  Just seems an interesting contrast.

M.C has to bear responsibility for Mac's appointment. But the supporters know how hard he has worked to keep the club afloat during the bad times.Putting his own money in to just about keep the club solvent. He took a punt on Ryan Carr and that came off. And  managed to get Powell which at the time was a downward step in his coaching career.Don't worry about Fev and our supporters we will be fine.

A good comparison is the Fev and Leigh appointments of their respective coaches, Campbell with Mc D has not worked out big Bri put his squad together, Beaumont with Lam couldn't have gone better Lam with his contacts and respect brought players in that no one else could, reverse the appointments and you most probably have a different outcome this season, neither of those Owners/Chairmen made the appointments with failure in mind.

I said early on this season that Mr Lam is the best signing that Beaumont will make this year, in retrospect Campbell is probably thinking the reverse with his decision.

I thought the director of rugby,Chris Chester, appointed the head coach,Lam,and was also responsible for the signing of the players.

No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.

As I understand it ( from Chris Chester doing a speech in the corporate at the 100 point York game ) is that Chester ' sold ' the big plan to Lam , we are just at the start

outside bet, John Kear, dont laugh you could do far worse. The champioship is basically a short knock out contest at season end. Purpose built for the bloke.

Isn’t that the same in super greed

sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward

In awe that he's taken this long to be exposed as nothing more than an average coach who got lucky at Leeds. 37% win ration with London, 0% with Toronto in SL and basically a SL standard squad built for 1 game this year that failed to get to that game.
Lovely bloke? Maybe, but RL coach? Never

The worrying thing for Featherstone is they have announced the re-signings for 2023 of most of the ageing players that have let them down this year.

Id take Bussey at Leigh in a FT environment with FT training, I’d be confident Lam could bring the best out of him.

Don't think Bussey would be interested in FT.  Got a decent job outside RL and he's nearer to the end of his career than the start.

when it came to coaching Leeds, Brian mac new how to drive a Ferrari - when it came to coaching Sheff eagles John Kear knew how to build one and that's the difference

You sure you don't mean Lamborghini? They make tractors as well.

He's always been good at getting teams up for big games. Might be more suited to international coaching.

Where's he lined up to go then?

Wouldn't be shocked to see him end up in union.

Worcester Warrior's have a vacancy
