Weren't some Saints fans telling us early in the season that they would be too good for everyone else and the gap is huge and they could play their reserves and still win the competition easily.

No excuses then Saints 😁

No, that was one Wigan fan who was talking bilge about us being unbeatable.

Not heard too much from him on that front for a while.

Not me meast, the way we are playing we’re in a battle to make the top six. We have been dreadful since round one and have continued to be garbage, with the worst kicking game in the comp. Take Walmsley out of the pack and then it’s weak.

Bit of an overreaction:

Paasi, Roby, Lees, Matautia, Batchelor, Knowles plus Sironen/LMS/Lussick/Wingfield/Bell is not "weak".  That "weak" pack went through the play-offs without Walmsley.

Part of our issue on GF was that we risked a clearly unfit Paasi, but even so it was execution across the backs rather than the pack which cost us the game.

HKR by 22. What supporters have to realise is Saints have only just got back from Oz, but we don’t like to talk about it.

I suspect that will go on all season Josef, 2 weeks after getting back from Aus and a week after winning at Cas and Walmersley being hailed as the best prop in the world for all his rampaging runs Saints played Leigh, not much was said that Leigh were very deserving winners, the emphasis was that Saints were still tired and nothing said that Walmersley was knocked backwards everytime he ran the ball in.

Rovers had another promising half-back in training as a back-up for today, in case Lewis can't make it

Apparently this site says I "won the day" here on 23rd Jan, 19th Jan, 9th Jan also 13th December, whatever any of that means. Anyway, 4 times in a few weeks? The forum must be going to the dogs - you people need to seriously up your game. Where's Dutoni when you need him?

His goal line dropouts can't be any worse than Jordan Abdull's.

It’s open season on Saints at the moment…

… but risking the wrath of all non-Saints fans, missing much of our starting pack and our poor form, IMO KR are favourites tonight.

I said at the start of the season I think this is a season too far for this aging Saints team, which also lacks real pace in the backs bar Welsby. Tough start to the Wellens regime.

We just like to give teams another shot at our defence, helps build their goal line resilience.

Guess you saw the results last Friday eh 🤣🤣🤣

For what it's worth, here's what actually said in February about Saints. It's reasonably interesting to read back now. Some thought the dominance would continue, more non-Saints fans though. In some ways, that's why sport is good. Unexpected things can happen!
