Sat 6th-Sun 7th May: The Betfred Championship (Non-TV) Match Thread

Swinton played welll against Sheffield, but I assumed that part of that was Sheffield being very disjointed. Looks like it was more Swinton being good.

"I am the avenging angel; I come with wings unfurled, I come with claws extended from halfway round the world. I am the God Almighty, I am the howling wind. I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"

Tremendous win for Swinton. Toulouse really don't seem to be travelling well at all, to be fair they're still missing quite a few players but that wasn't a bad team they put out today on paper.

Not as many as Swinton are missing

Barely a player in their correct position

That was a good TO team. Swinton must have played very well. They do have form against TO as they beat them at Blagnac in 2019.  I will get some feedback about the performance from No1 son...but not today, he will be spitting feathers tonight.

Don’t think anyone predicted that! Cracking win for the Lions and it just shows how open the Championship is this season.

Its got the makings of a brilliant season come the end of it at both ends of the table. Fev will top it comfortably but won't go in to the playoffs with the air of invicibility that Leigh and Toronto had which should make for some great viewing later on. Then the bottom of the table how can anyone pick who is going down, usually at this point we have a good idea but not this season.

Really can't wait for the new grading system to come in..........

Another little nail in the coffin of the sport - kerching!

HOW DARE Swinton beat Toulouse its not on,the rest of the league should just be making up the numbers.

Potentially cracking top-of-the-table clash between Fev and Sheffield today. Sheffield seem on the crest of a wave having celebrated the 25th anniversary of their Challenge Cup win this week, and you can be sure Tubbs will have them primed for a massive game today. Interesting to see if Fev can dominate what has looked a strong Eagles pack.
