He's been in the squad the last couple of weeks, he didn't play against Barrow last week so would be surprising if he made his comeback in such an intensive game given how bad his injury was.

I think the ex TO players understand that the "revenge" thing is just part of promoting the game. That was the last time we played TO, in a cost of living crisis every game is a hard sell and after 13 unbeaten games it's worth reminding the Fev public that we lost both games to Toulouse  including the final, the last time we were in the same division.

There were 4800 or so at the TO home match last weekend...lots of freebie tickets for the kids though. I hope that you get a similar number for this match. Nice weather and cheap beer should be for a good (and yet, lets hope for a sensible) crowd. No1 son will be there (I keep telling him it's all part of growing up and will be character building!). I know there will be a handful or so of TO supporters but no more than that.

A fan got banned last week we don't need or want so called fans who want to cause trouble. They should put their energy into getting behind the team.

Sheffield Eagles 40 York 10 FT. Attendance 1051.

Not bad for a Friday night when a popular local band have a gig in town.

I see "good Sheffield" rocked up tonight, when I couldn't go. The two key players who didn't play in the horror show last Sunday are 37 and 38 years old. The Eagles need a new plan for 2024 that isn't "I hope QLT and Thacks are fit". Welham got a hat trick and he's getting on a bit too.

Congrats to Ben Jones-Bishop on his 200th career try.

Heat and humidity favouring Toulouse away from home for a change.

Ford with his arm in a sling on the touchline. Fev dominated territory but lacking a bit of guile without him. Toulouse scored 2 nice tries on just about their only 2 attacks. Chan sin binned for Toulouse ( head butt? Not sure though) for an incident which incensed the Fev players

Very tight game with very few mistakes, Fev game plan will be to wear them down going downhill 2nd half.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

Definitely a head butt and should have been a straight red but credit to Toulouse have been the best side.

This morning I thought Sheffield may have a chance against Toulouse next week.

Now, not so much.

To be fair to Fev fans, they've never said this wouldn't happen at some point. They are still favourites to be in top spot, and to reach the Final. But, in a one-off game, they aren't the overwhelming favourites that Leigh were last year.
