Batley Bulldogs V Halifax Panthers MOM thread only

Recommended Posts

after snatching a last minute win up at Barrow last week, sees the Bulldogs at home to Halifax who will be smarting from there loss against York last week so hopefully no sting in the tail and sees a Bulldogs victory who are still missing young McGowan but have Luke Hooley on loan from Leeds still to take his place. A win tomorrow will see Bulldogs 2pts clear in 2nd to go into next weeks game in France where a win there as well will see them have a 4pt cushion in 2nd.

just updated last couple of MOM points and had to do a doubletake when adding Danes pts to the table and had to recheck the previous threads as though i had missed something but this was his first time this season in the top 3 so shows how well the other players have been playing.

It's very hard this week, but here go,

Hooley, everything he did work

Manning, say no more

Meadows, distributed well always putting the lads on the front foot and oh boy did they take advantage of it.

All the others deserved points.

Where to start? Like Hooley said at the end of Radio Leeds, it's an 'everybody' game. Those who get the plaudits aren't always the main contributors, platforms have to be laid, hard yards made, big knocks taken, I'm picking on those provisos;

Browny, absolutely on fire, lead by example today.

Kibula, everything that went wrong for him last week was put right today. The guy made his yards, made his tackles, sprayed passes around like a half-back and shot through that gap like a centre, shame they nabbed him just short.

Can't choose now between Manu and Gledhill so sharing 3rd.

"you never win a game unless you beat the guy in front of you. The score on the board doesn’t mean a thing. That’s for the fans. You’ve got to win the war with the man in front of you. You’ve got to get your man." - Vince Lombardi.

In a word, PERFECT! all round a fantastic performance from all the boys! Some people are saying fax where poor and not at there best,your only as good as the opposition let's you be! From the first minute you could see our boys where up for this one and didn't give fax a sniff, totally dominated fax, even going up the hill first half we made good yards every set, fax couldn't handle our big boys at all,they only completed 7 sets the whole second half shows how dominant our boys where! good play, good tries, good attack, good defence, and a most of all a good team working hard as ever for each other! well done boys. Excellent

That is correct the scrim reaper, I was stood at the top end first half and said to the guy next to me after 2 mins the lads are up for this, they just never let Halifax get going especially Walmsley and Joufrett.
