Todays double header

Great result and a performance full of character, but the RFL are really going to have to get a grip of the referee’s at this level, I know it is a thankless task and they probably are doing their best but sadly for some of our merry whistle blowers their best is not good enough.

That wasn't great but we ground it out and got over the line. A result and performance like that shows we have a very good committed players who are working for each other.

Sheffield are a good side but somehow we got the win and that shows a lot about the character and commitment of the players. Really enjoyed it and it gives me great hope for the future.

Managed to hang in the first half but second half we certainly upped the tempo and were well worth the result at the end special mention to AJ for his tackle in the first half saved a certain try and the 2 catches near the end of the game when under a lot of pressure. And it's another 2 points to take us away from the relegation zone.

Gritty win today we looked a bit flat in the first half but great chase by AJ but a even better effort from santi to defend the wing in the same move.

When Ata came on we looked more dangerous in attack and Sheffield stood off him not knowing what he was going to do and this opened up more space.

For Sheffield there loose forward was a handful again Gwaze he looks a good player.

Gives us a bit of breathing space down at the bottom now plus more confidence going into next weeks semi and hopefully no injuries from today.

Had to laugh at 2 of sheffields try’s. The one before half time with 2 forward passes and the last one after I think Cunningham marched the attacker 20m back on last tackle and then tried to “steal” the ball. Also laughed at Thackeray trying to ref the game. If only he concentrated on the game he would be a fine player oh and Aston at the end when the ref called time and he threw the ball away. Thought the seagulls were better than us going forward but we defended heroically. Well done boys

sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward

Great day out today , ladies a bit out of sorts but a good point achieved, hopefully normal service resumes next week, great composure and patience from the knights, Sheffield through everything at us first half but we gradually won the battle , hingano changed the game plus good performances from Dee and towse saw us home, starting to look like a competent championship side.

Very enjoyable double header. Valkyrie should have put the game to bed in the first half, but both sides made a lot of uncharacteristic errors, probably due to the swirling wind. Interestingly, the Rhinos ladies are 10/11 favourites for the Women's Challenge Cup with the Valks and Saints priced at 9/4. The Knights had to dig very deep today, but they defended well under pressure, and deserved their victory. In addition to the tantrums mentioned above, the reaction of Sene-Lefao, when Dee left him on his backside to score was priceless.

And on a final note, the refereeing left an awful lot to be desired. Some of his decisions today were barely believable. Do these referees never get assessed?

No Harrison. Can't see why he would be dropped after last week. I can only think he is injured

Sickness virus during the week - couldn't train.

Not to take anything away from two fabulous wins, I have a theory about both Fax and the Eagles, that they start at 100mph, chuck the ball about all over in the first 40 and are knackered after the break!

The Eagles did the same against Thunder in the Bash and almost threw the game away.

Great battle between the two Jesses. S-F came off best at the Legacy Park but Mr Dee won the day today.

Two really scratchy refereeing displays today. The young kid allowed the Rhinos to slow down the PTB all day and it made for a really scrappy game overall.                                                                                                                                                    So many poor calls in the Knights game, the penalty for a strip on Cory Aston was absolutely laughable! He simply let go of the ball in the hope of getting a pen after being driven back 20 metres. Sadly Mr Vella took it hook, line and sinker.
